Twice a week is probably enough if you want to be an upper body warrior. 3-5 days a week is probably ideal if you train your entire body
I sort of believe that if you work out consistently 2 days a week, you're going to have a lot of progress compared to most people because you don't overwork and you're less prone to getting injured and quit, also two times a week is easy to keep up and building a habit of doing it is easier than doing PPL 6 times a week.
Muscles builds during rest up to 72 hours after working out, so theoretically working out two times a week should be the most efficient way of working out.
Most of these fitness influencers take roids then do whatever the frick they want.

Used to do 2-3x per week when I did SL but did a lot of trial and error on exercises on which works best for me. Now I usually do low volume, high frequency training.

When I was doing SL 5x5, three days/week was the norm. As summer is right around the corner I’ve switched to PPL + ass day and accessories. This takes like 5 days per week.
Next winter I’m trying a minimalist approach, probably 3 days and no more than 40 min per session (but going really heavy).

For looking big to normies 3x a week lifting is completely fine, maybe throw in a cardio day or two purely for your own health
