the whole point of kefir is that it's fermented. Buying sterilized kefir with all the beneficial bacteria killed off makes you a fucking retard. Enjoy your yogurt drink

cmon man, you know they probably pasturise the milk first and then add the kefir to ferment

it's fermented milk the bacteria is there. the milk tat was used is bacteria free, not the end product. STPDGOY

stores don't sell fermented products you absolute fucking retards. You have to constantly babysit a ferment. All the benefits from kefir comes from the fermentation process and that's why it tastes the way it does. Your glorified soccer mom yogurt drinks are not kefir. They can still sell it to gullible idiots like you because kefir is not a protected term.

Nah he's right. In America we have no real cheese either. Everything is pasteurized and ruined. If you want raw milk you have to go to somebody with a cow or buy a fucking cow.

The refrigeration stops the fermentation process so you don’t need to babysit it, you fucking muppet. I buy kefir, make my own kefir, and I’ve toured the Maple Hill facility where they make their kefir. Store bought kefir is made from pasteurized milk. It isn’t pasteurized after the fermentation process. How fucking stupid are you?

A lot of the drinks are pasteurized, they taste no different than yogurt. However, you can absolutely buy legit fermented kefir in a store, it has a sour tangy taste

      >store bought still has some cultures
Yeah, the same as any generic yogurt. Real kefir has about 60+ probiotics while your store-bought yogurt drink has about 10 or less. Imagine thinking you can buy a product that relies entirely on fermentation in a store.

I'm always skeptical about all "health" claims made about foods, so when I started making and drinking this I never expected any health benefits and just did it for the taste.
But I have to say that it did change my shits. All of them are firm and like 80-90% of them a no-wipers, even the wipers require like 1-2 wipes max.

My asshole is really thankful for kefir.

Kek. Do you guys make it from raw milk? I will make some raw milk yogurt and aqcuire some Kefir grains next week.

Kefir is one of the easiest things to become proactive with and take back a little bit of independence in your life. Get some grains which you can probably get for free via local facebook groups, get the highest quality milk in your area and do it yourself. It will be a lot more concentrated and cost effective than the white water they fill that plastic bottle with.

Do a first ferment of just milk and grains for a day or two, then filter the liquid into a new vessel and add whatever other flavorants you like, and give it another 12 hours to a day. It should continue to ferment with the new materials even without grains present for that stage.

You don't have to add sugar for the second ferment like Kombucha?

You can add a cpl pieces of frozen fruit or a small amount of berries.

Kefir is super based and redpilled. I typically enjoy it with plain kellogs cereal or a mixed of nuts with coconut. Sometimes if I'm feeling good I'll add some whip cream, specially after working out or after sex.

No it didn't mr. salesman. I did better than you by making a quart of it from grains every day, every fucking day, for 8 months and it did NOTHING. It's just sour milk.

You are 100% a shill for those yogurt drinks they throw around everywhere. Without a doubt I know you're a shill.

Okay if this anon's microbes were the source of his dick problems and something else is the source of your dick problems, then yes it could resurrect his dick and not yours. Or if he was severely restrictive of cholesterol, fat soluble vitamins, or something else which was then provided by copious amounts of full fat dairy kefir, it could also solve his problems and not yours. Start thinking clearly.

Greatly based and probably one of the best foods if it's homemade, double fermented, and you use raw milk from A2 cows, goats or sheep.

Start making your own and second-ferment it with ginger and turmeric; a more IST drink you'd be hard-pressed to find. Tasty af too. Even with no prior fermentation experience it should be piss-easy.
