No cap how come aint nobody just stop eating if they want to lose weight? Like bruh yo diet is trash how about don’t eat shit but maybe a celery stick and see how much weight you lose fatass
>Keto causes hairloss
This has always been a moronic talking point. Anyone familiar with diets and nutrition knows rapid weight loss causes hair to do the same. Doesn't matter how you lose the weight. If anything, the hair loss is a testament to the speed of low-carb weight loss.
Notice how the only critiques against the keto diet are insults and muh experts? Is it so hard for people to admit that carbs are bad for them? OP cherry picks one example out of thousands of success stories. Do yourself a solid and try googling these two things: >Exvegans >Exketo
You will quickly notice it is so easy to find endless horror stories from high-carb vegan diets but virtually no keto horror stories.
Indeed there is a middle ground where you don't gorge on carbs. Carbs are a great source of energy to eliminate them from your diet is nonsensical, just like much of fit probably eats too much meat and has indigestion. Our ancestors may have solely done one thing but they also walked around for 10 hours a day.
If they aren't vegans themself, they should still recognize the driving force behind the criticism. Who has the most gain from bringing down Keto? It's not hard. The people with wealth and influence manipulate the gullible into doing their bidding with massive online movements and propaganda.
If keto makes you lose weight fine, but I think it's a dumb way to do it.
Just eat at a deficient, or eat maintenance but exercise more, or eat 1000 over maintenance and walk 20 miles a day. There's lot of ways to go about it.
I lost 100 lbs, at first doing 1500 calories a day, then by eating 2300 calories a day, but walking 10 or so miles a day. I'm 170lbs now.
Loose skin is a bummer but being obese is a lot fricking worse.
I don't disagree at all. But, I will say one of the main benefits of keto is natural appetite suppression. I mean, if you do keto/OMAD, you'll only be hungry for *maybe* 4 hours of any 24 hour period. A diet laden in carbs can't say the same.
And what sucks is there's really no middle ground there. You eat more than 100 carbs a day, you're gonna be hungry 3 hours after eating. It's like all or nothing.
I don't really have a horse in this race. I simply don't eat sugar, which has the effect of cutting a lot of carbs. I don't do keto, though.
The only people who passionately care about this topic are vegans. Nobody on keto is trying to save carbs from being eaten. Nobody is upset by carb consumption. Keto is just a logical way to cure obesity.
From someone who's done keto for years... it's a great diet to get out of morbid obesity. I was pretty happy with myself going from 450+ to just "overweight" at 205. Kept going with it after that and got down to 180 but I concluded that keto didn't really help much when I got below 200. Would have been fine doing any diet with calorie restriction that I did with keto foods. Keto appetite suppression definitely worked at first but once your calorie range goes below 1500 it didn't really do much.
TLDR it's great to get out of superfat but just ok for getting truly fit.
To be fair the brain thing is due to self domestication, and other domesticated animals see the same issue. But yes the stature and bone health decrease was real.
The chief problem with keto is that all of your benefits depend on doing one of two things: >sustaining an insanely restrictive diet forever
Or >using keto to lose weight and then transitioning carefully into a well rounded macro diet
Keto has a fantastic success rate in the first few months because motivation is high and there is a honeymoon period. However, keto has a horrific track record over the multi-year period because keto'ers don't learn how to eat a well-rounded diet. The result is periods of severe restriction followed by binging (along with shame/guilt), a vicious cycle that results in keto'ers losing the SAME 10 lbs over and over again.
At the end of all that deprivation and self-denial, no comfy Saturday night pasta dinner, no sandwiches, no birthday cake, they're just as fat as if they had been eating that tasty stuff all along.
Far, far better to spend your discipline learning how to eat a well rounded diet and be flexible so you can eat at restaurants and have the occasional dessert without blowing your extreme orthorexic diet rules.
I am all in favor of keto as a therapeutic diet for people with T2D (or other conditions like epilepsy, autoimmune disorders etc.). Done under the guidance of a physician and with real payoffs in terms of health, keto can be very appropriate.
For someone who is NOT diabetic, however, leaping to the extreme of a keto diet before trying less intense modifications (like fewer processed foods, limiting alcohol, adding exercise, sleep etc) is ridiculous.
can someone in this thread actuaky define what keto is these days? it used to mean to me like 70% fat calories and also never counting, but now i see all the time the work keto on things and it is just low protein and then the remainder split between fat and complex carbs. seems a scam.
i dont trust things in packages anymore and some people ask me my diet and then they say oh you are on the keto diet and really i never thought of it that way but all i cut out was sugar, i still eat some root veg and some fruit but really its mostly meats.
> Been on Keto since 12/12/21, down 68 pounds from 267 to 199. > Keto is the only diet that works for me because I am weak minded and will glutton down bread/sugars like a prostitute.
Still on keto, been stagnant at around this weight for the past month or so, gonna add cardio into mix.

Keto is for redditors: the post
Keto causes hairloss and nuscle atrophy, no thanks Rabbi

Pic related, Ketofest attendees.
You'd think they'd take a look around, and look at themselves, and conclude keto is a meme, but no.
Is that what Gaben has been up to?
Well since they're all old, diabetic and can't be fricked to exercise keto probably saving their lives
These people look overweight and obese.

Why do ketards think everyone who mocks them is a vegan?

These threads are definitive proof that anti-keto posters are mentally ill.

Antiketo posters are vegans. So yes, they're mentally ill.

Where did this idea come from that carbs aren't satiating? Just eat actual food and its filling
10,000 BC when humans started eating grains and they noticed that it made them hungry, short, and fat.
Their brains got smaller and their bone health got significantly worse
To be fair the brain thing is due to self domestication, and other domesticated animals see the same issue. But yes the stature and bone health decrease was real.
lmao no one has issues with satiety apart from americans
crazy how that works
USDA said eat more grain. Grains fatten cattle.
Spamming ketoBlack folk
I don't get why this thread is always morons shitflinging and accusing everyone of being a vegan, as if vegans actually post on fricking IST.

Keto has the best success of any diet studied: 50% after 5 years. Virta Health proved it's sustainable. Find anything else close.
This is type 2 diabetes reversal, correct?

Keto reverses metabolic syndrome and all associated symptoms: obesity, type 2 diabetes, PCOS, skin tags, etc.
Keto is great for cuts, people with certain medical issues, or for hamplanets losing a ton of weight. It's not for gaining, though.

keto and exogenous testosterone lmao
Cope
He already had muscle to begin with, its just an 8 month cut.
I don't adhere to the keto cult, but thats not unreasonable progress for a natty
Also need to recognize that carb depletion = significantly reduced water retention. It provides that nice little "shrink wrap" effect
Based but without a timestamp pic doesn't count
