I would make a joke about keto but all darts athletes are like that.

It's the darts phenotype tbh. Amazing darts players have become less fat and bald only to lose their edge in the game. I mean this 100% without irony btw. All the best darts players are strongfat and balding.

It's some kind of refined admixture of Bell Beaker Britons who were enslaved by invading Celts, domesticated by Romans, then raped by Nordics to create multiple new gene seed lines, not totally unlike Warhammer 40k.

The fat restricts the range of movement in their arms so they can be more consistent in their throws.

The British made being attractive a crime and sent all the prisoners to Australia. Look at those fricking sausage fingers.

You don't become good at darts without being heavily alcoholic. It's a central part of the training regime.

Can confirm that being slightly (but not completely) pissed, helps a lot.

Thinking about taking up darts. Mind sharing your recommended sets?

Hard to give a recommendation cos' they are such a personal thing.
The two main ones I use are an old Steve Beaton set (the plain one not the blue and gold pricey ones), and a random set that is very similar, that I found in a junk shop.
When you are starting out you don't need expensive darts, they won't make you play any better, just look for ones that are tungsten (other materials are too bulky for the weight), and are around 22-25 grams weight. This will suit most players.
The main thing is how they feel in your hand when you throw them.
Most pubs have some darts you can borrow for a game.
It's worth asking around as people sometimes have unwanted sets laying in a drawer. I've also found several sets in junk shops, car boot sales etc for peanuts.

              Good luck.

I don't do keto but I've found that starting my day with a ham onion and cheese omelette gives me the most energy throughout the day.
