Redpill me on drinking water for knee health
Water helps to keep your joints lubricated and flexible; the Synovial fluid that directly lubricates your joints is made up primarily of water. This fluid reduces the friction between joints and helps to maintain healthy tissue and joints.
thanks anone
Quit homosexual fake BJJ and do Judo homosexual
No he's implying you drink cum because you do BJJ
Reminder if you have ever in your life pulled guard you simply can't fight at all
You are weak
I am thinking of cross training judo aswell, but also you seem very butthurt -did your black uncle rape your ass again?
He's the judo pedophile. Every time someone posts about about another martial arts, he comes crying. Saw him in a thread saying that a judoka is better at punching than a boxer.
How'd you know I was a pedophile?
Tap early to leg subs and, don't extend your leg to the slide while in contact with someone and don't kneel with your toes pointing horizontally
This, the knee is a weird joint don't stress your luck
Most injuries happen from standing / exploding movements.
You also get injured the most when you first start.
Since you don't have an understanding of jits yet make sure to take it slow and keep your rolls non-competitive until you really understand how you have to move your body to advance positions.
injuries are part of the sport but can easily be avoiding by not being a spaz.
Thanks, i am being careful and not doing anything jittery, problem is when i roll with someone who isnt willing to down the intensity and worry ill get hurt because i want to go less intense cause i am aware that i am a newbie
When rolling with a spaz just think about protecting yourself as your number one goal above winning the roll.
At this stage in your game this is more valuable to your overall growth then anything else.
Try experimenting / having fluid rolls with training partners your already comfortable with and who you don't have fear of them injuring you.
Also throw a spazzy frick in closed guard to slow them down, you should work on your closed guard game for self preservation reasons.
Learn a few subs/ sweeps from there
Knee injuries happen when either (a) force is applied through a lateral or other angle to the knee, or (b) a twisting force is applied
(a) is most common in grappling whereas (b) is most common in kickboxing
Understand that your knee is not a ball and socket joint like your shoulder, it's a hinge, it swings forward and back and nowhere else
To an extent you will simply have to become a good enough grappler to be mindful of where your limbs are in space and place them to account for incoming force
Here's an example, when you start judo you will be drilled to never stretch out an arm when getting thrown, because if you plant your arm wrongly then the throw will bend it the wrong way and break it. This is the main reason why you get taught to break falls by slapping the ground, it makes you do something else with your arm instead of instinctually planting it
BUT when you get good enough at judo you'll become mindful of the motion you're being thrown in, and actually you can absorb force through your arm just fine without breakfalling. I used to do it all the time, safely, by knowing the direction my body was being moved and rotating my arm so that the elbow (also a hinge joint) was angled properly to bend when I placed my hand down (and not fully straightening my arm at all)
As a bjj newbie, you're in a dangerous period for both yourself and your training partners. The classic white belt spazzout is responsible for lots of injuries to higher belts.
In general I would recommend the following guidelines
>keep your knees a little bent most of the time
>basically don't ever try to plant your leg to when being taken down or swept, just go with it (become a good wrestler later when you're better)
>when getting rolled around, swept etc. think "compact" - elbows in, knees bent
1/2
2/2
>MOST IMPORTANT do not ever jump guard, and do not ever let your training partners jump your guard - if they do, pick them up and lower them very gently to your direct front
I think guardpulls are banned for white belts in competition, if I ran a gym I would run special intro sessions for newbies only and this is one of the things I would force on them
If you want to see why guard pulling is moronic, go to youtube and look up "guard pull injury" be warned, it's grim
Follow the knees over toes guy and do everything that he says religiously. Fixed my 40+ year old buddy's knees who'd been suffering for over 20 years.
