Walking backwards on a flat treadmill and wearing zero rise shoes gave me 5 degrees more ankle dorsiflexion after 6 weeks, and reduced knee pain. Didn't do the rest since I have no other problems.
I've never done flat but I've done incline. Incline, I felt it in the glutes. Helped me stretch my knees more. I'd try both and see what works for you. 3 min flat. 3 min incline thats a good 6 min warmup
based. doctors and israeli bots on IST hate him though because he never shuts up about how ~~*doctors*~~ dont know shit about physical therapy and constantly misdiagnose
what do they know? Because they dont know shit about nutrition, fitness, or healthcare either.
Hello, I’m an ortho surgeon, and it’s not boasting since I’m anonymous but I’m a pretty good one. I will admit that I am not that good at treating atheletes and that I’ve never met a colleague that was once put to real scrutiny. Honestly I know how to perform arthroplasty, I’m like a little robot who has been doing this in a repeated manner for years, I take a used up old person joint and I change it to titanium. My patients are elderly and already have deformed bones due to years of arthrosis. I turn away most young patients who want “sports ortho” services since I consider it a worse option compared to good physiotherapy. Unfortunately a lot of my colleagues who never had the skill to make it as arthroplasty surgeons grift people into operations at young ages and end up ruining their joints even further. The other acceptable side to my coin is trauma and fractures. First choice is always changing joints for old people since it’s where the money is, option two is fractures and trauma which is noble, option three is grifting aka sports surgery. I know colleagues who were shit when we were residents together, literally wouldn’t let them operate in my cat, now they have ads everywhere on being big sports surgeons… I’ve personally had to reconstruct knees they fricked up.
He's a cook just like anyone suggesting ivermectin. Just do the heaviest squats you can in your high heel lifting shoes and get nine surgeries on your knee.
It is legit. Nordic curls and reverse sleds fixed my knees. Tibialis raises are great too, and his suggestions for shoulder strength and mobility have really helped with my fricked up shoulders. Ignore the homosexual demotivation posters.
I fixed my knee problems by stretching before hand. Also watching a few PT videos on YouTube for optimal stretches and massages. All for free.
Why would I sit through his 1000 videos and 300 dollar routines when all this information is readily available online. For free.
If anything the biggest thing was to understand the knee is not the problem. Typically the problem are the muscles connecting to the knee, so your quads, hams, glutes, and even calfs. You need to stretch your entire leg to regain knee mobility.
>Why would I sit through his 1000 videos and 300 dollar routines when all this information is readily available online. For free.
I started doing the KOT free program every other day and my knee pain massively improved.
I dont plan on giving them any money, but for what is worth it helped me
His info is legit, specifically atg squats (name gay af, don't look it up) and walking/pulling backwards. He's also extra sperg and hard to watch, also a scientologist which makes total sense when you realize how evangelical he is in his messages. Learn the movements he teaches and never watch him again. Squat university on yt preaches much of the same information with a fraction of the cringe
There are direct pressure exercises for the knees performed by gymnasts

Isn't that just user error though? Like a few other people have said it's about finding what works for you, I imagine some casuals getting into some of the excersizes by just jumping into the deep end and wind up tearing something because they didn't ease into it, especially people who already had bad knees.
Is it? Why would you construct a pre-prepared narrative that it is when you don't even know the guy's story? He was months deep and doing the program step by step which he had purchased
When someone comes up with radically different techniques, why would you just automatically believe there is no risk? That isn't intelligent
he talks about scaling all the exercises to their easiest possible version and starting there
I bet these morons just try to do a nordic curl or reverse nordic right off the bat and frick their shit up
he's a weird gay loser being propped up by the CIA for social engineering purposes just like every other eceleb
I like when people use that expression because I actually invented it. Back in mid 00's I'd call the people I saw moving through the city NPC's. The realization hit me when I was high on shrooms one time, I'm surrounded by them. In the end it turned out I was the only PC.
So an npc calling the only PC an NPC is lovely to me. You've all grown so much.
If you ease yourself into deep stretches and don't ego lift, this is a non-issue. How are you going to tear your knee doing deep squats? If your knees are that fricked, what is the alternative? Do nothing? Btw, I've watched plenty of his (free) videos, and he lays out exactly what I just said: start where you're at (including range of motion) and progressively overload both weight AND range of motion. It's pretty basic, and only morons like you would manage to frick it up.
been doing his slantboard jefferson curls for over a year now
I can do a full split and my entire spine is actually jacked
The other day I was RDLing 335 very slowly.. cannot hold the weights in that position without a diesel spine
I do knee ability zero once or twice a month when I'm too beat to lift
it definitely helped my knees (needed knee sleeves to squat without pain for my first few years of lifting but now I can squat heavy without them and they don't pop anymore) as well as hamstring mobility
He has some good points. I play volleyball and about a year ago I was having significant knee pain, to where on some days it was hard just to walk. I incorporated sled pulls and the ATG split squats into my routine and now have hardly any pain at all. The ATG split squats are one of the best exercises and everyone should do them.
He does come off as sort of a grifter so I would not bother actually buying his routine or anything, but if your having knee pain for sure check out some of his videos
BTW just for clarification the major difference between this and a lunge is you keep your back leg fully engaged, and try to get as low on your front knee while keeping the back one off the ground.
It mogs traditional lunges in every way
Based. I stood up earlier this year and my knee made a 'pop' noise out of nowhere, and now it makes crunchy noises every time I extend it under stress/load. I'm 32 and it's not solved itself in the last 8 months. I'm going to try these and see if it helps.
Because exercise isn't only about having big arms and pecs champ. Some of us actually just care about being active and I jury free so we can play sports as we get older, not show off for gays in this fitness section of IST
I've tried some of the exercises in his videos, they felt great. Does anyone have access to the programs? I need to be more consistent
Specifically interested in the shoulder stuff
I've found this to be the best shoulder excersize, can't recall the name right now, but it's gotten rid of my shoulder pain and built strength, great stretching motion just moving really slow.

I know ya'll are always recomending surgerys where none is requires, really fricks with a person for the rest of their life having some artificial metal inside them, while most physical therapy doesn't seem to be good enough to really help people get their long term strength back, it's literally all about money, thats why doctors remedies are such a fricked up nostrum, because as with the people who frick up their knees they lack the one thing that doctors never teach, which is the ability to listen to your own body and not overstrain yourself thinking you can do what everbody else does, doctors don't teach people to be self sufficient, fricking dickheads.
I’m going to be honest with you, I don’t make money off of fitness freaks, I make it off of people who didn’t take care of themselves and still want to walk without a wheelchair at 70+ so I’m not the bad guy you imagine in your head. That being said if you are genetically predisposed to arthrosis you can do all the sissy squats you want, you’ll be begging someone like me to put “bad metal” in you at 65 so you can be mobile and independent.
Doing his split squats and stretches dramatically improved my knees almost immediately. Eventually I got to where I could do barbell squats ATG so I just started doing that paused to maintain my mobility gains.
I have one of his programs downloaded somewhere. It helped me with some of my knee pain and helped me realize the importance of mobility (more than I did before). If I remember this thread when I get home I will upload it.
started with some good ideas but became a grifter and dogmatic as time went on, cites out of date sources and basically shits on people who claim his stuff didnt work for them, because "if you did it right it would've worked" type bullshit.
As someone who fricked his knees and has been rebuilding them I recommend Jake Tuura's stuff. No weird culty aspect to his following, very straightforward progressions for recovery and building strength back up, its good shit.
he suffers from the same problem as most fitness youtubers. Something useful for 95% of people could be explained in one 10 minute video, but he needs to keep his youtube grift going so he massively overcomplicates things, makes tonnes of videos that all end up contradicting each other, and spends 20 minutes badly explaining one exercise with mostly irrelevant information padding the video out to ensure it gets captured by the youtube algorithm.
Any actual proof his knees were "beyond repair" because as far as I know this scientologist just tells people "woah bro my protocol totally cured me" and all it is without that sob story is a 120lb lanklet doing lunges with 60lbs. Don't bother responding with some fanboy shit just post the medical records. I'll wait.
Okay so he's a grifter. None of you gaylords can post proof. By the way, you don't have to train ass to grass to actually do ass to grass. I never do ass to grass, I slap 30lbs off my normal squat and I can ass to grass it. It's not hard. Meanwhile, you dorks are training with 100lb squats but they le a2g and making zero progress, like him.
The final redpill is that pretty much all "bad" movements - knees over toes, spinal flexion, shoulder movements - are actually really good for you if you progress into them slowly and adapt.
His programs are good for knee pain but isometrics in general are better.
I simple isometric progression you can follow are wall sits, wall sits with weights, air squats, air squats with weight, split squats, split squats with weight and then do Spanish squats to wich you can add weight to and knee extension holds at the bottom, you can start with two legs on the machine but eventually do one leg at the time.
Spanish squats and knee extension holds are the single two best exercises for knee pain and his program doesn't have them.
What is great about his program is the emphasis on increasing rom and progressive overload wich ate obviously things you would want.
The best exercise in his programs are sled push and pulls but if you want to get his programs that's fine it will help you with progressions and will definitely help with knee pain but you should definitely incorporate the two exercises i mentioned
Sissies are an incredibly based exercise for bullet proofing knees, will make the top 3 heads significantly more defined as well
Walking backwards on a flat treadmill and wearing zero rise shoes gave me 5 degrees more ankle dorsiflexion after 6 weeks, and reduced knee pain. Didn't do the rest since I have no other problems.
Seems legit so far.
what if it's inclined?
Tried that, doesn't seem to get the same stretch.
I've never done flat but I've done incline. Incline, I felt it in the glutes. Helped me stretch my knees more. I'd try both and see what works for you. 3 min flat. 3 min incline thats a good 6 min warmup
He is a Scientologist lmao
he lives in clearwater where the church of scientology is located
there are good reasons to join if you live there and are wealthy. Iykyk
adrenochrome connection?
Qrd pls
Please elaborate
Couple of waxed ken dolls looking like gay porn stars in the YouTube thumbnails. Reminds me of grown up Rod and Todd.
What's up with people calling guys Ken or Ken dolls all of a sudden?
