it's a fine gym but it's filled with the most annoying fricks around. At least at planet fitness the boomers will mind their own business and not hog machines to do meme exercises. It's like going to Chipotle instead of McDonalds, same slop everywhere but the former is very uppity about theirs
I don't like blacks in leadership unless I'm working for them directly. Dude was a fricking dick. I work Thursday-Sunday. Like I have fricking time to go see some nog infested gym.

I go to an LA fitness. There are several where I live and each one has slightly different equipment. There are some locations that are really terrible that I would never go to again, but the main one I go to is great. You’ll have to just check out the specific gym in question and make your own decision on whether or not it would be a good place to go
it’s all location dependent. some la fitness lack everything and are smaller. the nice ones have the green turf, sauna, basketball court, racquetball courts, swimming pool, kid’s day care and the squat racks laid on hardwood flooring

One I used to frequent in San Antonio had 2 or 3 difernt shootings inside of 2 years lol.
Some different LA fitness have better equipment/facilities than others.
I go to Fitness Connection now as they have better equipment and it's much larger.

The LA fitness near me really skimped on the equipment so every bar had insane flexure on it. It had a pool too, but really should have had a lifeguard. Also the rates were absolute dogshit.
I switched to a YMCA membership instead. Even though it was more per month, it was closer to me, had nicer equipment, had more locations around the city in case I did want to work out at a different one, and had a better pool.
Just get a squat rack, a barbell, some pl8's, and a bench and you'll have everything you need as a beginner. Then you can get one of those adjustable dumbbells if you want to do dumbbell exercises.
I live in a condo, not a mansion, dude.
I saw a very nice gym in a very rich area that's expensive but I'd rather go there than deal with North American Pavement Apes anyway.
It's good for the price.
Better than Planet Shitness, but I'd rather be at Equinox.
The LA Fitness here in Mission Valley sucks. I really should just move to La Jolla so I join Lifetime again.
Once you've been a Lifetime member, every other gym just blows.
It'll do in a pinch, depending on the location. I went to one that had round plates and a sauna that actually got hot for a while, that was fine; but the barbells have always been absolute garbage, and they often have polygonal plates and a squat rack with absurdly high safeties that I could bottom out at 5'10". Just gotta scope it out.
