Lentils

Are they good for you? I have been eating 50 grams (dry, around 130 to 140 grams after cooking) of them daily for a while. Could this have some negative effects on me?

    I eat 200g of dry lentils a day. I make lentil soup (lentils, potatoes, onion, salt).

      This only happens if your gut microbiome is not used to lentils. Eventually the bacteria that eats it efficiently will multiply and you won't have that problem anymore.

        I just soak them overnight and change the water although I'm pretty phytate sensitive lowering it that much lets me eat a lot more of them without complications.

      for fartmaxxing i recommend kidney beans, green lentils, onion, and make sure you get lots of fibre to prevent shart
      Though you will have to make some changes as your gut microbiome adapts.

        That's a good basis but I've eaten similar, legume-rich diets before and while they give a good basal aroma (and frequency) they don't pack a punch a beer fart or hot sauce pork ribs fart would.
        Basically I need a topping for my farts.

        I've found this isn't so much microbiome, but fiber content to begin with for lentils. At 30g of fiber per 100g of lentils, if you're not used to that, you're going to fartmaxxing pretty bad.

      Ever since I went to gut microbe rabbit hole and increased fermented products, I have no problem with onions or lentils but everytime I eat some fatty shit like pizza or kebab, i get gas.
