I don't aim for that much generally. It mostly happened because I ate a whole box of red lentil pasta with a Greek yogurt sauce.

          Damn anon drop that recipe?

            Anonymous

            It's not very complex
250g of red lentil pasta (I bought one made by a local hippie brand)
            <=1tbsp of olive oil
            300g of greek yogurt (nonfat)
Boil water for the pasta and put the olive oil and greek yogurt on another pan. Put whatever spices you want (I used an italian spice mix, basil, oregano, peppers and black pepper) and mix.
Cook the pasta like normal (add salt here, add way more than you think because it gets diluted a lot). If you have a strainer then just get the pasta out and cook it in the pan with the sauce, low heat. Add some of the pasta water to lighten the sauce a bit and wà lá, you have your meal.
1143 calories for the whole thing. I ate it in one sitting.

.8-1g per pound of LEAN body weight. Simply being a 400 lb fat frick with no muscle doesnt mean you need 400g of protein every day. Figure out your BF% and subtract that from your body weight, or get one of those fancy scales that gives you a read out.

moron, what do you think glycogen does? carbs also lower cortisol, and when cortisol goes lower testosterone goes up. The inverse is true when you're not eating enough carbs (lowered test). Dietary fat is also more readily directly stored AS FAT, whereas carbs need to undergo thermogenesis and DNL to be stored as fat.

What is a proper amount carb intake?

the answer depends heavily on goals and the situation but some general rules
0.8-1g of protein per pound of LEAN body mass
0.8-1.2g of fat per KG of body weight
              fill the rest with carbs

morons have been brainwashed by ketolards to be scared of carbs and frick up their performance and hormones as a result. 98% of bodyfat literally came from dietary fat and there's basically 0 thermogenesis for dietary fat because it's so easily directly stored

                Anonymous

Any minimum on dietary fat biochemically, rather than just having the body synthesise it? Commonly cited are cholesterol is an important precursor. But dietary cholesterol is negligible, the majority is produced by the liver. And very little is needed for fat soluble vitamins.

Lost the taste for it after going carb heavy. Probably eating 10g fat a day. Aligns with most historical diets in the tropics and asia where they ate under 10% calories as fat.

                Anonymous

It's genuinely hard to find much information at all on dietary fat and hormones and it's complicated further by many other factors like type of fat, other factors in the diet etc but yes there are even tribes that get like 90+% of their daily calories from sweet potatoes that are lean, healthy and seemingly decently muscular. Some of the studies on low-fat diets effects on hormones had vegetarians or vegans (I can't remember) which means other deficiencies could be the cause of the lower testosterone, a low-fat diet can also very easily be a caloric deficit which again messes with hormones and testosterone.

Hopefully the diet goes well for you, if nothing else a temporary diet extremely low in fat is good for significantly improving glucose tolerance, metabolism and insulin sensitivity.

if i havent worked out in 2-3 days and i wont for another few will it matter if i dont meet my protein goal?

Yes, because muscle building happens during recovery and you need more protein for that. In some ways you actually need to eat more protein during recovery than on days you work out.
