Lets settle this once and for all Posted on May 12, 2023 by Anonymous Are energy drinks actually that bad for you?
I don't care. Sipping on a Monster ultra rosa atm. Feels good.
I just wish they would stop rotating out all the good flavours and putting in garbage. Also more sugar free versions. Rosa is probably the best currently going.
I miss monster gold
They still sell it where I live. They stopped selling the ultra blue for some reason when it was my favorite.
really? I can't find pineapple where I live (New England USA)
looked into it a bit more, they might both be getting discontinued, just the remaining stock stil on the shelves
All of these should still be available, maybe try other shops or online?
Not as bad as the mental fatigue caused by obsessing over whether or not they are good for you.
I'm tired of pretending caffeine is bad for you. Just don't have it late in the afternoon and don't abuse it like anything else.
One can is literally abuse of caffeine dude
One can is literally the same as a starbucks cappuccino
I'm tired of settling things "once and for all" when someone is gonna make the same thread tomorrow.
Yeah but I don’t drink or smoke so this is my only bad habit
basiert und monstergepillt
1000mg of caffeine
Yes, its fucking bad for you
It's 30mg per 100ml, so 150mg total
Drinking 10 coffees in one sitting or doing a nicokado-style binge eating session is bad too. 1 can every once in a while is definetly not going to kill you unless you have already some heart and kidney problems
You sound like every fatty/druggy I’ve ever spoken to. Kick that shitty habit before it becomes worse.
this. If you can’t overindulge then it’s bad for you, simple as.
why does caffeine from coffee fuck me with anxiety and dread and awful shit but monsters don't, 2-3 hours after drinking coffee (i drink a lot) i feel like the world is going to fucking end and i'm going to die soon even though i know i'm fine
Taurine smoothes out the caffeine high
God yes. They absolutely ruin your teeth, and potentially your bones if they're habitual. Terrible for heart health, too. Murmurs, tachycardia, arrhymia, etc.
If you want a healthy caffeine source, black coffee or green tea are your best bets.
If you don't care, drink what you want. It's your body, who the fuck cares? Live fast, leave a giant coffin, reps for jesus and all that bro shit.
>Terrible for heart health, too. Murmurs, tachycardia, arrhymia, etc.
Isnt this just try of caffine? How are energy drinks any worse than coffee or tea in this regard?
energy drinks are much higher in caffeine than just a single or two cups of coffee
Depends on the kind, a can of red bull has about as much caffine as a cup of coffee
can you tell I've never drank any energy drinks. I just thought they were all like
Lol no they're not, most of them at least
The average energy drink has 30mg of caffeine per 100ml, so a 0.5L can, which is the most common, has 150mg in it. This is about the same as a medium or large cup of coffee
A 0.25L can (regular Red Bull size) has 75mg, like a small cup of coffee
Caffeine can cause all of those in high doses, but the additives make it worse in the case of energy drinks. Particularly arrhythmia, for some reason.
You'd think gymbros would understand the need to be consistent, but apparently they only apply that to habits.
Wait what? How are they bad for bones? What if I drink energy drinks w no sugar and brush my teeth, or in the worst case, you are just consuming caffeine and sugar
Hyper-acidic. Leeches calcium from your bones to balance your body's pH. It's a lot better if you brush, but still bad - like rinsing acid off your skin when it tingles, the burn is already there.
Shut your fuckng stupid mouth. These drinks aren't any more acidic than a coca cola..
Enamel dissolves below 5.5 pH
Most sodas are clustered around 3-4.
Stomach acid is around 3
Red Bull is around 3 as well, and Rockstar is all the way down to 2.5.
Even if you want to make the argument that we're specifically talking about Monster since it's in the OP's pic, that's still about 3.5
They're ALL hyper-acidic, from a dental point of view.
what pH are monsters around?
>Stomach acid is around 3
Its closer to 1 or 1.5
Whataboutism isn't a defense
The RDA of caffeine is 600mg. Monster has around 150.
>drinks energy on the regular
Only issue is the extra expense. Ideally I'll drink 2 a day but that's 5.5 usd extra a day. Adds up fast.
About as bad as any sugary drink.
Literally no better or worse than Coke
Caffeine is bad for you as it will hinder your recovery by negatively affecting your sleep. Sleep is when your muscles grow.
And no, just because you can sleep well after drinking caffeine doesn't mean your body isn't affected by it you humongous retarded fat powershitter gorilla fag
make me feel good when play games
in the long run yes, but now and then they're fine
t. sipping on ultra fiesta
My gf keeps drinking Monster Energy and I fucking hate the smell of it
Imagine waking up to the stench of Monster Energy filling the apartment
I told her its repulsive but she wont stop
>can't workout til 5pm
>pop a caffeine pill at work before I go home at 4:30pm
>need to sleep at 10 but still wired
how much of the caffeine boost will I miss if I take my pill at like 2
Bitch-bro, I drink a double loaded americano before bed.
Just up your dose. At a certain point caffeine constricts your blood vesssels enoguh to make you sleepy. That and do more exercise, if you're having any trouble falling asleep, you're not doing enough in the day.
>namefag is retarded
a tale as old as time
I tried convincing her that we will get fluorescent children if she drinks it while preggo. I lied about Monster Energy would dissolve her colon in the long term as well but she didnt believe me
Love the zero cal monsters
new flavor dropped bros
Everything is bad for you in excess.
> He doesn't have a coffee machine
Yes, anyone who says otherwise is either a garden gnome or a sugary brain murrican
i fucking hate pyra and mythra im so glad they didnt shit up the 3 dlc
They’re good for you. I put DMAA in mine.
Wish most of these drinks weren't so sour. The low pH definitely isn't good for teeth.
