I went from 25% bf to literally 6-7% bf and decently muscular. This was right before I started uni, so I was 17, about to turn 18. I had spent almost my whole high-school experience being a fat frick. When I leaned the frick out I could see girls mirin' left and right every day. Also, seeing my former female classmates whispering to one another while looking at me from a distance, mouth agape, absolutely jarred to see my transformation, it brought about a sense of vindication that's very hard to explain with words. I've been 12-16% since then a bunch of times, and whenever I'm leaner than that I can see the reactions changing again for the better. It's fricking night and day, I'm telling you

      >less than 10%
      absolutely.

I did almost exactly what Goggins did, before I even knew the guy existed (this was roughly ten years ago). Over the summer, I worked out every fricking day, sometimes even twice a day: running, rowing, skipping rope, swimming, and body weight exercises with high volume, on top of very long walks at night. I laid off the sodas (was downing four to five lemon schweppes cans every day, kek), the ice cream (was fricking addicted), and all processed foods altogether. I only ate whole, non-processed foods, that was it. It was just legumes, vegetables, whole-grain bread, eggs, and lean meats or fish. I guess you could say it was roughly a Mediterranean diet. If I wanted something sweet, I ate some fruit. I never cheated. Most importantly, I only ate whenever I felt truly hungry, mostly just twice per day. The very odd day I didn't work out, I ate close to nothing the entire day. I went from that fatso over there with the double chin, to chiseled fricking face all around.

you can't. without significant lean muscle mass you wont even get near 6% because there's some fat that your body desperately needs to function and won't burn it just because you do pushups every day. Bodybuilders only get so low because bf% is relative.

Fatness is on the face as much as it is on the belly. Characters in movies/games that look good despite being fat usually don't have fat faces, and if they're actors, well they're actors, they can afford to look good and not be fat

Sorry bro because this is going to sound harsh. If you cut and you actually look like a twink, bulked-up you probably doesn't look like you think it does to other people. You've actually got to have quite a lot of muscle mass to be like 20% body fat and for normies to still register you as being an obvious lifter. If you look like a twink when you cut that's actually an indicator that you should be lean because you don't have enough muscle mass for anything else

        Anonymous

Here's your inspiration: at a fluffy body fat percentage you'll look completely unremarkable, but if you're lean you'll be ahead of 95% of the population. If you think about it, an incredible physique is one that is lean and muscular, so if you're just lean (and you have enough muscle mass for the definition to exist in the first place), you've got one of the two things required in the bag, rather than being soft & having 0 out of 2 things in the bag

          Anonymous

          Good points

I have always had a good face but never got laid in high school. I started working out @ 18 and went from like 190 to 155lbs when I was 19. Once I hit 155lbs, I got a gf, lost my virginity, and when I broke up with her, had sex with 3 different fine ass 19 year old chicks within a span of 3 months until I then got another gf.

    how do i achieve 12%

  10. 11 months ago
    Anonymous

Got my bf fluctuating around 12-14%. 12%is when your abs finally shows in detail while aren’t skelly tier ripped. 12% is the comfort zone for balance between low bf while still has sufficient fat storage and be jacked. Sub 15% alone is already good for healthy body (25 years old higher) but the abs won’t be detailed enough. There is also other consideration of subcutaneous vs. visceral fat (the latter one is a nightmare because you could have totally ripped arms and legs of pure muscles but bloated belly since all the fats goes there). Cutting alcohols, stop eating close to bedtime, even go full vow of abstinence of zero processed foods is the jobs you need to do

The difference in the quality of your life if you can take your shirt off and have visible abs is absolutely insane.

I go insane wondering why it isn't the number one goal for most men. All your social life goals should be viewed as dependent on being lean.

Agreed. Even when I went from 15 to 13 percent (gunning for 10 or less) I got complements, apparently it showed in my face even.

I will say this. The satisfaction of looking in the mirror and being (somewhat) satisfied, that trumps any donut or second serving.

I'll take it as motivation. Either way weekly tape measures are going down and I'm looking better. Everything else is a matter of time. If I'm wrong, is there a better tape measure than this?

the more you learn about BF the more you'll realize it's a terrible metric that has no golden standard way of measuring, even dexa scans can give weird results
keep doing the tape one just so you can compare values and progress check, since it's very consistent, but to measure what people understand by bodyfat%, it's really looking at pics and comparing

Bro, im trying to be real with you, you are not even 15%... So sick of people being obsessed with numbers and body fat percentages. You need to stop cutting. You don't have enough lean tissue to even look good at low bf %. You need another year or two before you seriously cut. If you somehow got sub 10, which is clearly way leaner than you think, you would look like you just survived a famine. You need to put in more work. Im just being honest with you, which I think you need. You can accomplish a great physique, you just need to do more.

I think I am like 11/12 in pic rel from yesterday.

Yeah he has a bloated gut from PED use. That being said if you want a stronger, thicker core its no different than any other muscle... lift abs. Do abdominal training with resistance or increase reps or the duration of time you hold an abdominal exercise. It really doesn't need to be complicated.

You have to realize that women are incredibly insecure creatures. Not to go full autism on this but evolutionarily women have this fear of being alone or forgotten or abandoned. A woman without a man suffered and often died throughout history. Many women who see a man who is considerably more desirable than themselves often will avoid being with that man in a committed relationship. To them, while he is attractive and desirable deep down, they know it is not a safe bet. They run a higher risk of being abandoned or traded out for another, younger, more desirable woman. In my experience as well many are simply afraid of the fact they would have to maintain themselves to be with a man who cares for himself physically as well... most chicks like to become fricking pigs when they feel safe with a man it seems. My thoughts, at least. I'm 23 and chicks I know are already getting fat and the moment they turn 25 they get horrified by the idea when I say i prefer to date younger women than myself. I say I want a 19/20 year old and they tell me it is too young...

At one point I got below 13% and my friends and people seemed to think my physique was remarkable (literally, could be remarked upon) but I didn't think so. Like I would tell a girl I don't have a six pack, my belly is still soft, and she goes "oh that's just skin".
I think some people just don't have amazing bodies. Mine was kind of like the way Hugh Jackman's looks, it just has a softness. Plus I have a bit of gyno from puberty that almost looks better when I'm heavier cause you could mistake it for chest fat. In clothes? You couldn't tell that I was in shape.
Still, other people were impressed if they saw me shirtless.

IST has made a lot of people on here delusional. A person that has been lifting for at least a year or two with 13% bf, even as a natural with average lifts, will still be in better shape and more attractive than 99.999% of the male population. I see people posting their bodies in cbt and "post body" comebacks and everyone is talking shit, but all of these people look better than 99% of the people in my gym. I've been lifting for six years and I think my physique isn't very impressive at all and I get compliments every week about how jacked I am. My physique is incredibly average by /fit standards, but I have no problem slaying irl.
