Life feels boring since quitting smoking

Am I the only one who regrets quitting smoking?
>Surf less because a big motivator was that post surf smoke, with the salt on my lips.
>Seem to go outside less often
>Coffee seems meh
>Crave junk food to fill the void.
>Drinking more alcohol to chase that high of a cig.
>Have this weird guilt complex with tobacco now.
>Didn't notice any gains in cardio or lung capacity.
>Miss the 5 minutes of tranquility and contemplation of a smoke in solitude.

What the frick lads? I was never a heavy smoker. Maybe 5 cigarettes a day. Is quitting a meme?

I found heavy cardio to be the only thing that replaces that nicotine high. I quit the booze but still rely on the occasional cigar for that sweet nicotine high. cardio also made me want to not smoke because it feels overestimating with the rush

it will take a while for your brain to reset properly. but it will happen. Keep it up

Yeah, I mean smoking bridged all the uncomfortable situations, like boredom or going outside for a short walk to think or solve problems, in between drinks and so on. There is no more distraction in those situations, and for me, it makes everything less enjoyable. I also didn't make any cardio gains, even though that was my main motivation to quit. I will still stick to it because I have actually been a heavy smoker for 20 years, so it's more a lifestyle change for me anyway.

Man I smoke too but it only makes me dumber for like 10 mins. I find it relaxing to go on a walk and smoke but I could perfectly do the same with like a thyme cigarette or smth I don't know how people get so addicted to nicotine

The thing is you’re a miserable ex smoker instead of a happy non smoker. Even though you quit, read this book and it will tell you why the reasons you want to smoke are nonsense.

The reasons I want to smoke are because I enjoy it? What's nonsensical about that?
You are right though, I am a miserable ex smoker.

I have tried quitting smoking. Well. Now I'm on nicotine pouches. Better for the lungs, worse for the mouth.

What if I told you that you never enjoyed a cigarette in your life? You just enjoyed the feeling of ending your cravings that was caused by the previous cigarette. Would you believe me?

Look, I gave up ciggies years ago, but that's just not true at all. There absolutely is an enjoyment in that cigarette where you're just standing outside along and just letting the buzz wash over you

Same. Im an old gay and quit in 2005, so almost twenty years ago. A pack a day for over ten years.

At first it sucks, but then you forget, After like about six months or so. Its better to quit.

A good trick is to psyche yourself out by saying, "Im not a smoker" And then youre not.

Based. I did the same mental trick with drinking. Really helped.

    >Is quitting a meme?
i'll assume you meant "just a meme" because obviously it's a meme and you don't need to ask that
imo if you can keep it relatively under control like you were and you smoke additive-free (inb4 no such thing) then there's no reason to quit, really. probably just a benefit

This is by far the dumbest thing I've ever fricking read. Nothing about surfing made you want to do it except for being done with it? Are you actually fricking moronic?

yeah i quit smoking a year ago and since then i became fat and barely leave the house. In hindsight the only reason why i was fit during my teenage years was because i smoked and therefore left the house, in my childhool i was also very fat and never left the house.
