      he isnt. but just because he isnt wrong doesnt mean that you cant or shouldnt go to the gym. you can accept both realities. and now someone will come out the woodwork with some larp about exercise science study showing this and that. yeah okay i believe that too, but the level when training is "healthy" is probably 1-2x a week and doing stuff like bodyweight squats, 1pl8 deadlift etc. but training on a roidtroony 6x ppl and moving absurd loads is not.

    He is right in the sense that if you're solely going for health you should probably never lift a very heavy weight ever in your life.

    Let's say you can lift 2 plates, it's not like you somehow become "more healthy" if you're now able to lift 4 plates. Having said that, a standard person who regularly works out is way healthier than the standard person who doesn't work out. And you can die tomorrow regardless of do you workout or not, so just do whatever you want to do
