It's called a pay-to-play algorithm. Ever since all social media changed their display of content from true chronological order of when it was posted to a proprietary algorithm that shows you "content optimized for you", what it has really meant is that if you pay the platform money they will promote your garbage and push it to the top of everyone's feeds and recommended content
