If we're getting Danielson vs Ospreay, then BD doesn't need to be working 300lb dudes. He should be working talent who can take/give Poison Ranas, Dragon Suplexes, Moonsaults, Topes - high flying, high impact offense. If they're closer in height to Ospreay, even better.

Tony can hire the all the best flippers in the world but no matter how many flips they do it will still not be interesting to watch because nobody gives a literal flying frick about the people who flip and that's the root of the problem.
Realize that if he put all his flippies into one faction and call it a "The flying fricks" it would actually be over than any of it is now but only for the brief moment of the meme because nobody would at the end of the day still give a shit who did the flip.
See, if there was a cruiserweight division for flippers and the top boys were bigger and wrestled their size, that'd solve some issues. Problem is, the mainevent scene is filled with people like Adam Cole who wanna play big dog, as well. This means flippers will never be quarantined.

The storyline should be 1) DB running through random high-fliers to show he's ready for Ospreay, or 2) DB quickly beating wrestlers of all styles/sizes to show he's the most well-rounded wrestler. Just having random ass matches against 10-15+ year vets makes no sense, doesn't elevate anyone, it's a waste of time. If you're going to do it, at least showcase some greener talent like Andretti.
I don't disagree flippy wrestling has (VERY) diminishing returns, but if you're going to do it, there's a way to make it make sense. You can't have 10 matches on a card filled with guys who do all the same top rope/springboard/high-flying offense. AEW needs more Keith Lee or Matt Morgan-shaped talent, not because they put on 5 star matches, but just to switch things up.
If you commit to Big Bill being in a tag team, it doesn't hurt him as much to lose singles matches to smaller guys like Daniel Garcia.
If you commit to Big Bill being a singles guy, it doesn't hurt him as much to lose tag team matches to teams like Top Flight.
All these things work in tandem.
The obsession over who jobs and who goes over, who is heating up and who is being cooled down, it's making it impossible for fans to get behind ANYONE, because people don't want to show up and do their goddamned job unless they're either WINNING, or at least go 15 minutes in their losing effort.
You both wrote some excellent and good points. What I was trying to convey is the point that the shows build like circus and it works like a circus and that's why it's stagnating because the Flying Fricks doing the trapeze act can only be seen so many times in a show and you can only watch the same show so many times in any time period.
Until people actually care who, what, why, and when of any of them guys do, be a flippy midget or any other style of wrestler a 1000 flips as valueable as doing a hundred million of them.

Disagree with this this hard. Shane Taylor isn't a household name yet, but he's been picking up a lot of momentum as a guy people want to see. Years ago, people would have thought him and Dragon would never happen. To finally be able to see that match, a first time ever? It needs at least 15 minutes. Dragon is retiring soon and it's pointless to give him lame squash matches against great big man workers, especially because this might be the only time him and ST square off.

I don't care, I don't watch Collision. I go to the church to play volleyball on Saturdays. Dynamite is the only wrestling show I follow now and the funny thing is Dynamite is enough. I went from watching wrestling everyday to only on Wednesdays but mostly because WWE and NXT got so bad that I respect myself too much to watch.
