"Maingain" + "Train HARDER" + "high volume" = injuries

If you eat close to maintenance, and train hard, and do high volume (4-5 days a week), not only will you not make any gains, you're just going to get injured, especially connective tissue.
Maybe that's the idea?
Is this a ploy to not only keep natties small, but to give them the same injuries that roiders end up with?

    >you only need 30kcal surplus, MORE THAN THAT AND YOU'RE BULKING
    >wow, you didn't put on size in 3 years of maingaining? you did something wrong, it's your fault, not Coach Gregs
    >MAINGAINING IS BETTER THAN BULKING, it doesn't matter that you won't grow, I don't give a shit, buy my book at CoachGreg.com
    >*high pitched whining and screaming like a BPD woman on a period*
    >if you don't have abs, your fat, it doesn't matter that you're 130lbs, you have to cut
    >buy my cookbook with thousands of grammatical errors, all recipes contain sweeteners, because I'm a frickup and don't practice what I preach
    >BULKING MEANS EATING WENDYS AND PIZZA EVERY DAY, STAP IT
    >I-I DIDN'T GASLIGHT YOU, YOU GASLIGHTED YOURSELF
    >I-I WASN'T WRONG, I-I W-WAS RIGHT, YOU JUST DON' UNDERSTAN

Not a Greg apologist but this thread smacks of fat fricks who use bulking as an excuse to gorge themselves up to 30% bodyfat.

I (op) am leanbulking right now to 155-160 lbs. I don't know what my bf% is, but it's def not 30%. I have well-defined abs and vascular arms.

I did before and IST told me I was a skeleton with testicle skin.
I'm gaining weight very slowly, btw, maybe up a 2-3 lbs. since Jan.
I also add in little minicuts where I up the cardio and eat a little less, to ensure the weight gain is muscle and not fat.

i do believe in traditional bulking and cutting, obviously you need to be in a caloric surplus to build muscle, but from watching some of greg's videos his concept of "maingaining" is basically just a buzzword for lean bulking or cutting at a slow deficit, which i think is much better advice than the advice of "gotta eat big to get big, eat everything in sight" or "start doing rolling 72s, fasting is muscle-sparing" that you seen thrown around here

In my experience the amount of calories you consume only affects how much training volume you should do to a very small degree. If you go from a 3K calorie incremental slow bulk to a 2k calorie cut, it might change your volume requirements by 5-10%, that's literally it. Whether or not high volume training is bad or not has almost nothing to do with eating at around maintenance.

There's no point in training more than 3 times a week as a natty.
