See, they know it won't be accepted by this generation. Nobody with a functioning brain is going to choose to eat fricking bugs. But as time goes on they'll push harder and make it seem normalized, like they did with the homosexuals.
I really don't get this dislike of insects. Think about this - little girls are afraid of insects. As a man are you afraid of them? I've bought a few packets of dried insects before, they taste - ok I was going to say they taste delicious but actually they don't taste like anything, that's just the flavouring they add to them, but it tastes good. You get all the protein and without any of the carcinogens, fats and other downsides of meat. It's also definitely what our evolutionary ancestors ate, while our ancestors didn't have spears to go hunting with if you go back far enough.
It's easy to add flavor to bugs. You could make sourcream&onion flavour or barbecue flavour if you just add the same powder as used on potato chips. (Even though it is mostly salt and sugar, which isn't super healthy)
Other than that, we have a ton of easily available spices like curry, paprika, garlic and shit.
They taste like shit and have a terrible nutritional profile, especially if mass raised and not fed a tailored diet of fresh vegetables. I guarantee if they were commercially as successful as other meat forms they'd be by far the worst choice, even compared to shit like tofu. Companies searching for lower quality alternatives are not your friend, advocate for humanity's interests not theirs.
>while our ancestors didn't have spears to go hunting with if you go back far enough.
One of the first things early hominids did was scavenge meat from carcasses left behind by other predators. It's been theorized that some of our first use of tools was using rocks to crack open bones to eat the marrow that predators couldn't access. Marrow is such a calorie and nutrient dense food source that this is also theorized to be one of the things that gave us the surplus calories to begin developing larger brains.
Alternatively:
We know very well that farm-raised fish are extremely unhealthy, cattle raised on grain produce garbage meat, etc etc but you think that insect farming is going to be different? Frick no, it's gonna be crickets fed on basedbean meal and they're going to be incredibly bad for you just like every other factory farmed animal.
"Theorized" by batshit ketards trying to claim meat is all that is good and holy. Everyone knows that man evolved in the forest to eat mainly fruit, everything about evolution, human dentition and gut show it. For the vitamin b12, excess protein for muscle growth etc. insects perform this function perfectly without many of the downsides of other meats sources. Why not at least have it as an option and see how it turns out?
That image is dumb.
You could compare Gorillas and Chimps in the same manner, but Gorillas eat more like a cow than a chimp
Humans left monkey behind by eating meat clearly. Also it's not even possible to eat mainly fruit in certain climates year round, and humans have been living in these climates for 50k+ years at least
>"Theorized" by batshit ketards trying to claim meat is all that is good and holy.
I understand that you're incapable of viewing the world from a point outside your agenda but the vast majority of evolutionary biologists are not out to push some dietary agenda. Outside of your frugivore vs keto schizo shit, it's widely agreed that meat consumption was a turning point in our evolutionary history. We began the process of developing into anatomically modern humans when we LEFT the trees full of fruit and started walking around on the ground.
Did we began as tree-dwelling frugivores? Pretty likely. But the climate changed, the forests started receding, and we adapted by developing adaptations for living on the ground. I've seen endless cherry picked meme comparisons like your from both sides and they're all moronic. There's nothing wrong with admitting that humans are omnivores who benefit greatly from plant and animal foods.
The fossil record is very clear about one thing in particular: when humans first arrived in an area, megafauna in that area went extinct pretty quickly. This is a consistent pattern across the world, and sites of human habitation from these periods are always full of animal bones that have very clearly been marked with tools from the process of removing the meat. Early humans ate so much meat that they literally hunted dozens if not hundreds of species of megafauna to extinction. Do you have an alternate explanation for this?
>it's gonna be crickets fed on basedbean meal and they're going to be incredibly bad for you just like every other factory farmed animal.
Good point, even if we start making quality meals from insects, the quality of massively farmed insects would be worse than the ones we have now.
if it's cheap I will, yeah. same with imitation meat, don't give a shit if it's cheap, complete proteins. but meat is cheaper than either so it's pointless

>intuition is the most non-npc sense in the world
It's quite the opposite, going by intuition makes an npc (which is why they fall for all tricks in marketing, media, popularizy etc.), while examining life, decisions and the way things work is what uplifts one as a true free (thinking) human.

Wrong. Intuition is a primitive way of processing the world and making decisions. It's what ancient grugs used before we had developed higher intelligence and speech. Using LoGiC is the most NPC thing to do because it's highly vulnerable to manipulation, I mean logic is what scripting/programming relies on, which is THE definition of what an NPC is, one who follows scripts. Your based ancestors listened to their gut and were more masculine and successful than any of the basedboys that live today
Tastes like bitter shit, looks and smells unappetizing, has no good recipes without tortuous amounts of processing to make it palatable, and exists only as a Ugandan tier starvation food. Black folk eat dirt before bugs. Our food is what looks, smells, and tastes good. Eating bugs as a primary source is a sign of failure as a provider of food.
One thing I've realized about this is that the people championing it have no intention of eating it themselves. They are vegan. They want meat eaters to eat it instead of eating meat.
Vegas hate meat eaters and could not care less if it feels degrading.

kys for trying to play discourse police.
If Marx and Engels can devote many pages to talk about the difference of the quality of food between different classes, I can do it as well because this shit is class war.
Engels even complains that workers can't afford beer, go play in traffic austeritygay.
>I don't get what the big deal is. If it's cheap and nutritious I'll try it.
This, if I'm presented with a meal made from insects which is tasty enough, there is no reason for me not to eat it.
In fact, imagine how convenient it would be if we could just eat any insect as is, disguisting things woild turn into quick snacks.
Of course, closest thing to a real meal from insects that I know of and would eat, or at leas try, are fried tarantulas, they look crispy.
It's a dehumanizing humiliation ritual that the elite stroke their tiny wieners to while thinking about how powerful they are. It's a fricking lie that they tell us that we need to do this. They will tell us that there won't be enough meat to go around when there are more hogs in Texas than there are people by a gigantic amount. There are places where deer outnumber people 10 to 1 and they spit in our faces and tell us we need to eat bugs? Fuuuuuck them. When it gets to the point that meat becomes illegal and people are forced to eat the bugs or starve, motherfrickers are gonna start getting shot. That's one of those lines in the sand.
>Production of insects is a potentially less taxing way of feeding an ever more overburdened planet >Nah, it's actually captain planet villains. That's way more exciting!
Grow up. Industrialisation happened, Earth has changed and will change in ways we haven't seen before. Digging your heels in the sand and whining about how if pig was good enough for your pappy, it's good enough for you is pathetic. If you're that desperate to live out a power fantasy about standing up against a cabal of supervillains, watch some capeshit and get it out of your system
>When it gets to the point that meat becomes illegal
they dont need to, just add a "CO2 emission tax" until 90% cant afford meat anymore and nobody will do shit
insects are critical for the production of our food supplies. what do you think goes into proper chicken feed? do you want a chicken fed gra*ns and s*y, or insects? if you were a chicken, would you prefer to eat an intersting protein rich bug or some GMO s*y or gra*n shit from ukrain/chinka?
no thanks shlomo

Why are all the worst things tested first in Canada? Most Canadians just want to smoke weed and drink Molson
Because you are all progressive whites

Insects >>>>>>>>>>>> imitation meat.
I doubt it's as good as meat when it comes to nutrtion. And when it catches on they'll try to ban meat in favor of the insects
Animal fat is healthy and extremely important for hormone production. You will slowly die if you don't get any fat. Look up rabbit starvation.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protein_poisoning
I don't think protein poisoning is a big concern. Nobody is saying that insects should be your entire diet.
Exactly, meat isn't the only way to get dietary fat moron.
>inb4 insectitarians eating nothing but insects and insisting their diet is by far the best for happiness, health and aesthetics.
>meat isn't the only way to get dietary fat moron
The sneed oils don't even count as food, and oliveoil/avocado are ok I guess but just not the same
problem is that insects don't have any fat or any thats in a good amount but i tried some in high school
problem is that they have no flavor and it's bugs
They really taste like shit. If insects were human food we would like to eat them

Oh sure let me get my bucket of ranch dressing and tub of msg while we're at it
>insects don't have any fat
just add some plant BASED omega-6 oil to the mix and be happy

so its goyslop from the start
We and the Netherlands are basically puppet states of the WEF, we're the first to get tested

That's why. Canadians are too lazy and moronic to stop it, even more so than Americans
Oh look, Turdeau is lining the pockets of friends again - shocking.
$8.5mil is pretty insignificant considering a government’s spending annually

8.5 million isn't much though. Wouldn't even worry about it
Why is insect based food used by /misc/tards for outrage farming so much. I don't get what the big deal is. If it's cheap and nutritious I'll try it.
It's degrading
How so?
It just is

Unironically kys. You're be helping the environment.
Gosh sorry, Im just not gonna eat the bugs 🙂 I know I know uggh! But reakky im just not gonna do it:)
I'm not gonna make bugs a staple of my diet, lol.
>When it gets to the point that meat becomes illegal
they dont need to, just add a "CO2 emission tax" until 90% cant afford meat anymore and nobody will do shit
If they manage to turn bugs into a sort of powder and mix them into meatballs that taste like beef or pork, then I might try them.
As long as they are served whole with skeleton and everything, I never will.
Just getting ready for the next waves of chinese immigrants
kek thought of this
how do you produce insects? they aren't made in an assembly line they're born how are they this moronic
I'll eat them when they're officially kosher.
STFU
I wouldn't mind if they feed chickens and ducks with insects instead of the goyslop the feed them now
death to all israelites 😀

eating insects is closer to and more in-line with our ancestors than heavily processed foods
That’s pretty much no money on a country scale.
oh give me a home
where the buggalo roam
and the crickets and the grasshoppers play
