      Hands slightly outside shoulder width, loose grip to the point where you can sorta feel your fingertips on the bar, bring elbows up to parallel, don't use heavy weight and go for reps instead

      It’s an extremely mediocre exercise but since the rest of the world caught in I guess now IST has to pretend it’s godlike. You can’t progressively overload like any press or pull up which will work the delts much better and safer.

        behind the neck press is also good. It was my first side delt doms, uprights where my second. That being said the fearmongering around btn press is somewhat warrented, you do have to have good mobility, have good form etc, moreso than regular press, in terms of actually stimulating the muscle and keeping the joint safe.

        when I btn press heavy for five reps (which is fine, not dangerous, but normal rep ranges are probably usually better) i literally get pumps on my third rep mid set. by the second set my skin feels like its going to explode.
