behind the neck press is also good. It was my first side delt doms, uprights where my second. That being said the fearmongering around btn press is somewhat warrented, you do have to have good mobility, have good form etc, moreso than regular press, in terms of actually stimulating the muscle and keeping the joint safe.
when I btn press heavy for five reps (which is fine, not dangerous, but normal rep ranges are probably usually better) i literally get pumps on my third rep mid set. by the second set my skin feels like its going to explode.

This, doing it gave me my FIRST ever side delt DOMS and I was trying to build traps that day.
