Meal prepping has to be the most autistic shit you can do.

Meal prepping has to be the most autistic shit you can do. The meticulous planning, the same food everyday, the suffering, the control. I'm at my last ten pounds to lose and starting Jan 1st I gotta have this shit nailed.

How to determine the ratios? Hacks? Should I just suffer and eat the same exact thing everyday to better track shit? Your whole diet journey will eventually lead to this point.

I do it because it saves me time and money to cook a big pot of something on Sunday night and portion it out for the week ahead. What, you gonna buy your lunch everyday for 5-10x the cost of cooking your own?

You can just write your own code so all you have to do is type in how many grams of each of your foods is and have it add up everything for you each meal. I lost 10 pounds in a month doing this while tracking macros and calories each meal.

    >The meticulous planning
Lol, really? As opposed to do the same shit, but daily?
This has to be the dumbest post on fit right now.

    >The meticulous planning
It takes like no brainpower to take food you were going to cook anyways and quadruple the recipe
    > the same food everyday
    It's called leftovers
    > the suffering
    what
    > the control
Yes in general I like to control my nutritional intake
    >and starting Jan 1st I gotta have this shit nailed.
You literally just cook food like a normal person, but more
    >How to determine the ratios?
What? You don't know how to determine how much you want to eat? Why are you cooking then
    > Hacks?
    Yeah cook the food
    >Should I just suffer and eat the same exact thing everyday to better track shit?
It costs essentially nothing to track any amount of food
    >Your whole diet journey will eventually lead to this point.
    No

I guess it's autism but if I could take a pill that made it so I never had to eat again I probably would. Food is just a disgusting drug abused by most lard asses too afraid to try anything else to get their dopamine hits. I say this as a guy that worked in fine dining/sous chef/catering for years. I could literally eat the same meals every day for the rest of my life and wouldn't care.

Fat people are so disgusting tbh. When they talk about food it's like hearing a fentanyl addict or something. Using words like "suffering" because they can't eat 8 donuts every day and be skinny so they just try to take a bunch of drugs and try dumb shit like meal prepping (even though they order a pizza after they eat their meal prep)

        i usually just
        >microwave or bake to get them soft
        >cube them
        >toss the cubes in light olive oil and salt/pepper/garlic
        or
        >store cubes in fridge to saute the next day with butter/olive oil and the same seasoning
i like to keep it simple so i can add different sauces and seasonings depending on how im feeling that day
        i love these lil homies

Eating freshly cooked meals is so much better than eating cooked chicken locked in the fridge for the past 6 days.
    >Should I just suffer and eat the same exact thing everyday to better track shit?
That's what I do, except I don't suffer, I just eat what I like. If you eat healthy long enough you'll stop craving shitty food.

Black person, I want the inside scoop. What are the real numbers I should be crunching?

Lemme put it like this: if someone told you all there is to helth is CICO, you might think ok I can eat goy slop as long as the numbers don't add up past a certain point. But you would be WRONG. You should eat clean, mostly protein, veggies, etc.

So with this super strict meal prepping shit: can I have a cheat meal once a week?
Should I just bite the bullet and not cheat to maximize results? It's only 12 weeks. Can I train hard? What kind of calorie deficit? Bonus question, is there a god? Can I become him?

        >can I have a cheat meal once a week?
no once every 2 weeks if you lack discipline and need something to look forward to other than results.
        >What kind of calorie deficit?
Cut 500/day off for the first 6 weeks, then cut an additional 50cal/week until week 12. The last 2-4 weeks will suck.
I'm not answering your other questions.

I've stopped meal planning but the meal prep manual is a helpful site. He breaks it into meals, snacks, bulk, cut, ect...
Breaks down the nutrients and macros for you based on recipe. Does a shopping list.
If you can learn to freeze stuff, you can start banking meals so you'll have more options down the line.
    mealprepmanual . cum
Prepping wore me out too much. I'd really start learning how to meal plan so you basically cook a little dish as you heat up leftovers. Save the side dish for tomorrow's leftovers and repeat.
Big thing to learn is that it takes 5 minutes to season a chicken breastand put in the oven. This gives you 20 minutes to make the next side, reheat your food, clean the kitchen, cut veggies for tomorrow, ect...
Just takes time, practice and a plan.

    Meal prepping kills gains
Food loses a lot of nutrients and protein like 24 hours after preparation, and letting food sit in the fridge for days on end also lets bacteria grow

i honestly think it is pretty fricking autistic, but there is also a line between people who do it to weird levels, where every macro and everything is calculated, or people who photograph their meals constantly they make, versus people who just do it halfassed from laziness to be efficient. some guy that works full time might do this and might not even consider it meal prepping he just doesnt have a lot of time or energy to frick with making food some days.

when a working man does it to save time in the morning with breakfast, or his lunch he takes to work, or his dinner when he doesnt have energy, its totally different than people who are weird crossfit cultists. Ive never meal prepped but i have admiration for people who do it as part of a normal day to day routine sometimes. its completely understandable.
