Try it and find out. I mean it can't hurt do to it, worst case scenario nothing happens
im 26. is there a point?
How the frick am I suppose to know I'm not a homosexual, I'm just saying you might as well try it
Might work. Likely does a lot less than people act like it does
It's very autistic
Legit, my face definitely looks better than it did 3 years ago.
But it's a very small difference, need to compare pictures to see it really
I started at 20 years old so, probably faster if you do it when younger
These. I was a moronic mouthbreather when I was a kid because I had braces. Started mewing a few years ago when I found out about it on here, and look better.
If you are a stinky mouth breather you will get the 2 instant benefits of tightening the skin underneath your jaw and not looking like a slack jawed dork.
All the stuff beyond that is a bonus whether its real or not.
One thing that is definitely real is swallowing correctly, dont use straws, and always swallow with your tongue, this atrophies the buccinator muscles and gives you that hollow cheek look. Buccal fat deposits don't meaningfully between people, so don’t blame it on fat distribution.
It's free to try.
Yeah it is, that's like asking if standing up straight is legit.
Just do it, it makes you look better immediately compared to a slouched face even if it doesn't affect your skull shape over time (which it does).
I was lucky/autistic enough to think about and correct my mouth posture in middle school before I'd ever even heard of mewing, and I'm easily the most attractive of my siblings. Even compared to myself a couple years ago as an adult my face keeps improving because I'm always mewing, because it's easy and comfortable and it's just a good habit to have as you age. Not mewing is harder than mewing once you've fixed your face posture.
Don't try it for yourself, just do it. It's not as if it's harmful; no one's ever reported that mewing has made their face uglier, you might as well just do it 'cause why not?
i naturally mew all the time now
Mewing is legit, but it's simply changing your tongue posture, so it makes a difference to people who don't naturally have good tongue posture.
Basically, you put your tongue to the roof of your mouth, not just the front of the tongue, but the back as well. If you put a finger under your chin or look in the mirror while doing this you will notice your neck tightens up. That's all it is. The aim is that if you don't do this naturally, you should do it enough that it becomes natural.
This is the most realistic explanation that I've ever heard. There is no way you are changing your bone structure with your tongue a couple hours a day. Just don't mouth slouch.
back? how far back? If I try to put the back of my tongue on the roof my tongue doesn't fit my mouth
If you have actually have problems with a recessed maxilla, improper tongue posture, etc then you need to find a proper orthodontist. This isn't 1990 like Mike Mew thinks it is. We have maxilla expanders that work on adults and experts on myofunctional therapy are everywhere.
Most people will not benefit at all from learning about mewing.
im not convinced it changes your bones but it definitely tightens the skin around your neck and is a good habit to have.
I can’t new, my front top teeth nearly cover the front bottom when fully clenched, overbite or Andrew Tate chin or whatever. I think they say I shouldn’t Mew or it’ll get worse.
I wish I took progress pics but mewing definitely worked for me, I was a full-on mouth breather before and I've felt literally felt the inside of my mouth change over time. It gets a lot easier to mew the more you do it, at first I could barely fit my tongue on the roof of my mouth because my roof was so caved in due to years of mouthbreathing
my orthodontist said legit and that it was the cause of my undeveloped maxilla
