I am going motorcycling for 2 months across South East Asia.
I havent really been working out for too long, but I have lost 25kg or so in the last half year preparing for my trip, with maybe working out 2 times a week, most of the focus was on heavy cardio and walking and hiking.
What could I resonably do if I want to do at least a bit of strength training while I motorcycle. Just do a lot of push ups? Do pull ups if I find a monkey bar somewhere?
Idk anyone have any ideas?
I am very limited in what I can bring with me so I cant really being any equipment.
Its my first multimonth trip, but my long term goal is to do it more often, but I also want to get shredded, are these two compatible? Be in shape and spend 3 months a year driving around 3rd/2nd world countries?
Based sexpat taking the baldandbankruptpill. You'll burn plenty of calories with sex.
Well I have luscious hair and I am in my 20s. Thats the diff
>the answer is calisthenics, obviously. i know that, but i wanted to make a post about biking across asia, that's really what i'm doing. i know i just have to do push ups and jog and shit lol. just want a little mere trickle of attention please! m-please? little morsel of attention for doing a thing?
Okay but what if you cant find a good place to do that, you are not guaranteed to find a monkey bar.
Is there any good resource of what can be done with a mat in any derelict hotel room?
you really just need to do push ups and if you want squats and situps. you also will probably get plenty of walking in. if you see a bar you can pull up on go do some pull ups
Yea thats what I was thinking cant really do much more.
Probably if I get more into the gym, could probably reliably get to some random gym at least once a week and do some really generalist full body workouts no?
Even when traveling through the 2nd world I assume it wouldnt be too hard to find a gym at least once per week somewhere
just get rings. boom now you can do pullups and dips almost anywhere with trees or concrete.
look up kyle boges on youtube
you can do a lot without any equipment. pull ups can be done on any old tree branch or bar/ledge high enough to hang from, push ups don't need anything. squats and lunges done with just bodyweight also don't need anything, although you could find a heavy stone and carry it to make them harder. i assume gymnastics rings are too bulky to bring with you, so i'd recommend you bring a resistance band to do rows on.
the hardest part will be nutrition. i would bring a bag of whey with you, as it'll probably be hard to eat enough protein on the road.
where will you sleep and what will you eat?
>where will you sleep and what will you eat?
Thats the thing about motorbiking, you drive a few hours, find a place to sleep, find some streetfood, or a cheap restaurant and eat there.
You cant really count calories. Its kind of yolo. If you take some trips in less densely populated places (which I am not doing since its more of a babys' first long motorpacking trip), some people bring a tent and sleep next to the road, maybe bring a stove and cook some really basic food (but again limited in what you can bring).
But I am traveling from Saigon to Hanoi super densely populated, will be easy to find places to sleep and eat. The same cant be said for places to work out tho imho
+1 for the resistance bands
Medium to heavy bands for normal exercising and you can stack all of them and do some isometrics to build up (or at least maintain) max strength.
take gym rings hang them from a tree when camping, do pushups and split squats, job done
The ring thing is a really good idea actually
>have heavy motorcycle
>how do i maintain strength
i mean you are going to motorcycle across south east asia, find some motorcycle shop and ask if they can build you some kind of extendable bar on the back of the motorcycle, proceed to literally floor press your bike, deadlift your bike kek.
it could literally be 3 pipes welded into a U and some hinges on the frame somewhere so it moves up over the back of the seat when not in use, then just drill holes in it and make some locking pins for it.
Minimal equipment, all you need is a bar, a timer, and the will to do burpees at high intensity.
i would carry a jump rope and resistance bands. if smth goes wrong you can also cut them up and use them for other things
Try this. Old Canadian fitness program. Some flexibility, some strength, some cardio. No equipment needed.

Print it out and there you go. Probably start on chart 2 if you want.
Whats the bike you will be driving there
I am renting so I will see when I arrive. Some sort of Honda tho probably
why dont u ride from ur home country to south east asia, u can do it in a month then a month in sea
that shit be even better fr
Takes more driving experience and I dont have a motorcycle license, I can get away with driving without one in asia but not in Europe.
Maybe one day tho
idk man, i used to be wantin to do this
now i just be wantin a couple acres some woods a house and just be doin shit on my property
