The redpill on testosterone is that it's 80% determined by your social status and social interactions.

Everything else like exercise, diet, cold showers, etc. is like 20% of your results, if even that. And these often only work because they INDIRECTLY raise your status due to better looks.

Your brain isn't going to give you a substance that makes you aggressive and willing to "rock the boat" if you're a loner, with no friends.
For survival purposes, you need to be accepted as a part of a group, and it will withhold all testosterone production until you become socially accepted in a group.
Your brain will cause you to be low testosterone, so you are not aggressive enough that other people see you as a threat and are willing to accept you.

This is extremely triggering to antisocial types that claim they "don't care what others think" or "other's opinions don't matter".
Other's people's opinions do in fact matter so much that they influence your hormones and internal biochemistry.
The part of your brain that cares about social status cares INTENSELY about it. That part is more ancient than the one responsible for BREATHING.
If you deny the importance of social status, you are denying your biology like a troony.

The real ways to increase your testosterone:
    >Social interaction: get more friends, go out more often, NEVER be a loner
    >Dress better than others, improve your looks
    >Get a job (if NEET), get a better paying job, get a promotion at your job
    >Earn more money, get things that display your status as money earner according to your social group
    >Get a girlfriend and have sex regularly
    >Never submit or let another man humiliate you (almost impossible if you're a wagie).
This is why business owners and self-employed men have higher T.
    >Work in a competitive or performance-based occupation like sales.
    >Win at life in general.

All of these will have 10x the effect of whatever puny improvement to your T you've had in the past 6 months working out.

INB4 all the seething replies. This anon speaks the truth. Look at lions and gorillas, the alpha male's body changes as a response to their social status. When the lion kills/scares off the other male lions, his testosterone goes through the roof and grows a giant mane of hair. Social status is the #1 determining factor.

Completely false. The brain mechanism you're describing runs off of serotonin which has a negligible impact on hormonal production. High serotonin does not necessarily equal high testosterone just as the opposite is also not always true.
We know for a fact that semen retention massively boosts testosterone. It's simply a hormone that responds to your behaviour and environment. A proper diet, amount of sleep and intense anaerobic exercise all boost testosterone much much more than any amount of social interaction and that's backed up by virtually every major study.
Your dodgy theory attempts to make a causal link between serotonin production and testosterone when in reality the inverse is true - males that have more testosterone, whether naturally or through exercise, diet, lifestyle or injections are more dominant, assertive and confident, therefore succeed socially and acquire higher serotonin. It's also been shown that higher hormonal outputs actually affect the limbic system in other ways, such as testosterone being slightly dopaminergic in its nature on top of aiding serotonin and endorphin release, which all contribute to general social success.
You've got it backwards but nice try, 6/10

If I may, how is a male, single lion supposed to beat another male lion with a pride if the first male lion’s brain is literally cucking him out of muscle mass by depriving him of testosterone.
I’m no expert on lions, but if I’m not mistaken, male lions typically don’t let other male lions into their pride.

It doesn't get deprived of anything. A rogue male lion can go into a pride and fight the dominant male for ownership of the pride. The lionesses sit on the sidelines and watch. That moronic Black person doesn't have any idea of what he's talking about

      Partly true, but partly false.
T is influenced by social status, diet, exercise, general health, and many other factors.

I was actually thinking about this earlier today, how a guy taking TRT at my work acts like he is an alpha when his baseline hormones levels are telling him to be very beta. But it changes the way he acts, so he is overstepping his bounds, putting himself in dangerous situations. It's getting to the point I can tell the days he pins.

It's about competition and WINNING. I meant to say work in a competitive profession AND EXCEL AT IT.
Also, you can't see the full story. israelite "men" are always henpecked by their wives at home. Their culture enforces that.
Being humiliated and bossed around, by a WOMAN no less, craters your T levels.
Same reason why married men have significantly lower T, while sexually successful bachelors are high T.
Cohabitation with women will always reduce your T. This is why males raised by single moms, still living with their mommy during their adult years, are so pathetic.

We don't live in a vacuum. Our life situation and social status influences our hormones.
Without other people's approval and respect, 80% of our body's capabilities are locked.

This is why it's so important to have an active social life, and why without one you'll always be sad and depressed.

Other ways to raise T that didn't fit in the earlier post:

        >talking to attractive women, flirting, being admired and feeling desired by them
        >hanging out with other men, belonging to a men-only group
        >getting better friends, upgrading your social circle with much higher-status men
        >"flexing" on others. Better car, better clothes, any outward sign that you're more successful than others (that's the reason people go into crippling debt to do it!)
        >winning at anything competitive
        >setting up an important life goal and achieving it
        etc. etc.

Of course it's fricking harder than lifting a piece of metal 12x6 times in a safe gym.

However, some of the Test increase already comes while you work hard to improve in these areas, as long as you have absolute faith that you're going to achieve it.
Goal-setting and working to achieve your goals is basically the highest T activity there is.

"This article examines the role of basal testosterone as a potential biological marker of leadership and hierarchy in the workplace. First, we report the result of a study with a sample of male employees from different corporate organizations in the Netherlands (n = 125). Results showed that employees with higher basal testosterone levels reported a more authoritarian leadership style, but this relationship was absent among those who currently held a real management position (i.e., they had at least one subordinate). Furthermore, basal testosterone levels were not different between managers and non-managers, and testosterone was not associated with various indicators of status and hierarchy such as number of subordinates, income, and position in the organizational hierarchy. In our meta-analysis (second study), we showed that basal testosterone levels were not associated with leadership in men nor in women (9 studies, n = 1103). Taken together, our findings show that basal testosterone is not associated with having a leadership position in the corporate world or related to leadership styles in leaders. We suggest that basal testosterone could play a role in acquiring leadership positions through dominant and authoritarian behavior."

High testosterone causes risk taking behavior, risk taking behavior somewhat increases testosterone = you get higher social status.

Not the opposite, where you get social status and then suddenly your T explodes, at least not in humans. Makes complete sense as we are social beings that only thrive together.

The king should always respect his population, the moment the population is reduced to slavery through elitism, is the moment everything goes to shit and you just wait till your conquered by neighbouring nations. Whether that takes 20 years or 200, depends on how civilized you are.

      >High testosterone causes risk taking behavior, risk taking behavior somewhat increases testosterone = you get higher social status.
I always had high T for a natty. When I started my business I felt a very obvious boost in test. My lifts and libido shot up. These were the most solitary years of my life where I was only around my wife and kids when I wasn't working. I was always in a very competitive career and had an active social life prior to becoming an entrepreneur. It wasn't until I went out on my own and eventually had people depending on me that I had the increase in T. It's not just about competition. Many people think they're in a competitive career. But they rely on other men for their income and well-being. They still "submit" when required. If they frick up they get another chance, or they can apply for another job. When you're on your own your whole body adapts to the challenge because if you fail it's over and you lost everything. But none of this really matters since the T boost is marginal in the grand scheme of things.

          >testosterone -> risk taking behavior
          >risk taking behavior -> testosterone
Yes but I think the testosterone increase comes from not having anyone but yourself to rely on which is a result of the risk taking behavior.

            Anonymous

Interesting. Is that because not having anyone to rely on is more dangerous, even more risky?

And we aren't attributing the testosterone increase to cortisol I assume. Cortisol also gives people a feeling that they're on top of the world.

In the end I think that if the stress is chronic, the testosterone benefits do eventually fall off. Your thoughts on this, at least if your the entrepeneur guy?

I never felt like I had stress issues. Well, not once I got going. I was a train wreck in the very beginning, but I remember being more stressed out working for people. Never had a top of the world feeling, just a strong resolve. When shit went wrong it didn't phase me like it would before. I think my hormones, whatever they were, did return to normal once things got off the ground and I wasn't knife fighting for money.

              Intresting idea.
As a kid I was an extreme loner, cared about literally nothing other than my grades (and aced all the classes). Was not a risk-taker but naturally very high in neuroticism (OCEAN trait) and a risk tolerance of exactly 0% so even "an almost certain ace" was enough to cause at least mild stress to turn that 99% into a 99.9%, even if I had nothing but aces I would still be worried about passing the grade.

Had a noticeable moustache and I think a full beard by the time my classmates had ANY facial hair. No one measured my test levels so that is the only metric I really have(that may have nothing to do with actual test levels at that age and more to do with being an early bloomer).

Eat minimal food for a few days and work as intensely as possible at the end of a four day semi-fast. You’ll hurt yourself. And you’ll lose some muscle, but you’ll make up for it slightly with the increased testosterone and creatine. There is no way to do this “safely”. You won’t die. But you will damage your muscle sinews and probably get a cold for a week.
You would gain more muscle by just working out normally.
I learned this from an army doctor who observed it as a trend among (some!) soldiers.
It’s clearly some sort of survival mechanism.

As far as I know the human body isn't evolved for musth.
