I have been using my ergonomic chair for years and tried out every possible configuration of the different adjustments (headrest height and tilt, back tilt, seat depth and height, armrest position and height). Still, I end up having neck pain. It's almost as if a basic chair is better.
What gives?
Lmfao. Just get a leather ceo chair that rich boomers have u stupid zoomer wage. Have some taste.
I don't care about "taste" I'd just like not to have pain.
No point, every ergonomic chair is just about the same. I think there is something wrong with them as a whole, at least for tall users.
>every ergonomic chair is just about the same
I thought this until I got my Steelcase chair.
steelcase is legit too.
This is the redpill on office chairs. Ergonomic chairs are designed to keep wagies uncomfortable. Get the most cushioned recliner-looking chair you can find.
just trash the company on review sites until they publicly offer you something else. its sounds like anything else would be better for you anyway.
Does the front of the seat reach the back of your knees?
It did for years (the instructions told me to set it as such), but I have later realized that it's better if it doesn't. Having the back of my knees so close to the seat edge means that the seat must be set quite forward. Since the seat has a curve to it (see OP pic) this means that my butt ends up not in the apex of the curve, but beyond it, i.e., it is slightly tilted upward. This messes up the rest of my back and neck.
How is it and how tall are you?
All the top models had a head rest, and I had never had a high-end chair before. I just assumed it was better.
Sorry the OP pic doesn't actually have a curve in the seat, see pic related instead
>perhaps you didn't get a chair that fits you.
Could be, but I don't see a way to go about it. They all seem comfortable when you try them in the store for a couple of minutes. I'd need to use one at home for a month before knowing if it's good for me or not. I can't afford to do that many times.
How tall are you?
This headrest is way too forward, you're only supposed to touch it when tilting way back as a break not when actually working
>This headrest is way too forward
I agree, my headrest is similar to that one and I have thought the same. But it can't be taken off.
>>6'2"
Thanks, it might work for me too then, I'm also around 6'2".
6'2" with the B I think it was, 2 dots behind the back.
(me)
>He uses a head rest
Is your neck too weak to hold your head up or something?
Holy shit you're weak
I love my herman miller aeron. got it from an office liquidation reseller. was 1/3 the price of a new one.
perhaps you didn't get a chair that fits you.
Yeah my wife and I both got these and they’re fantastic. First week took some getting used to but honestly they’re the best chairs we’ve ever had.
Look at your desk setup maybe thats the problem, or train your neck
Mine's alright. Amazon cheapie. But the first thing I did was to take out the lumbar support. 6'.
Expensive chair does not fix your bad sitting habits. Ive been fine (as fine as sitting 12 hours a day can get) on Ikea chairs for years now...
>using the headrest
Those things always kill my neck, I prefer being able to move neck around as much as possible
