        It’s still far better to get your protein from whole foods. You could eat a can of sardines or an extra sausage at breakfast and get the same amount of protein as well as added vitamins and nutrients. It will cost less and taste better.

        The bulking mass gainer protein powders also damage your kidneys.

        everything is benefit vs risk shit.
        they prescribe testosterone as "hormone replacement therapy" for people with low T and they seem to be just fine.
        anyone on IST can tell you this. but,
        the main issue with hormones is taking them without doing regular blood work and adjusting the dose if needed. hormones work on a negative feedback principle. if there is [hormone name] in the blood, it is not secreted. if it is not secreted for enough time, the gland that makes it atrophies and stops secreting it forever.

    Good at remembering things for a short while and taking exams (med school) isn’t Pythia the Oracle at Delphi on all matters. Qualifying as a doctor means you a passably competent at prescribing antibiotics for common infections and can make an educated guess at who/where to refer someone to.
    Vast majority have no independent thought and defer off to some other doctor whose research they were told a conclusion to. This is why many diseases have “treatment” rather than “cure” because idiot doctors defer to a crap process rather than get to the heart of the problem.
