      Don't listen to this guy. If you try and blast your weight down with cardio, and a huge calorie deficit you're going to have lots of loose skin and look even worse. Lose the weight slowly if you're actually really fat, and lift weights the whole time. I don't think you'd really be an obese sack of shit at that height and weight though. I was 258 at 6' and I didn't look like a fatass at all, and that was before lifting.

    lifting is ok but
    1- you're not that obese
    2- dont compromise your back. use this weight for your upper body only. legs = machines
    3 - 3500 calories = 1 pound of fat.
    if you cut 700 calories from your daily intake you'll reach 200lbs in 6 months easily

          That is why I’m asking people who do fitness for a hobby. I am still fat.

            Since you already lost the weight you know what you are doing. All you have to do is keep doing it. Double chin, manbreasts and love handles go away when you get below 18% bodyfat.

    Dumbells are king of versatility, just do either a PPL routine (Push/Pull/Legs) (3 days on 1 day off) or do fullbody 3 times a week.

    >Push day: OHP, Dumbell benchpress
    >Pull day: Bicep curl, Dumbell rows
    >Leg day: goblet squats or regular squats with a dumbell in each hand

    The real key to losing weight is what you eat. Try to eat mostly meats, drink more water, and avoid processed junk and added sugar.
    Eat 1500cal a day, with mostly meats (protein) and complex carbs, and the weight you drop will mostly be fat (protein makes sure you retain muscle as opposed to losing that as well)

              the good news is that dumbbells are way more convenient than a barbell for home gym stuff. you can emulate almost any barbell movement with dumbbells, you're just limited on how heavy you can go.

          6'4 anon here. looks like you've got some solid mass under that fat. stop drinking alcohol. switch to pepsi zero or diet coke if you drink soda. yea it's "gross" for half a week until your body forgets what sugar tastes like. eat popped, not bagged, popcorn instead of chips. your diet changes combined with some lifting will help you immensely. trust me pal. I lost 40 lbs this year.
