My gym doesn't have 1.25kg plates.

My gym doesn't have 1.25kg plates. The smallest plate is 2.5kg but my program states that I can only increment by 1.25kg. Can I just increase my reps instead?

My backpack weighs like 10kg already and I cycle to work after workout. I'll get the plate eventually but now is not the time

You can even try complaining to your gym owner
You pay them fricking money tell them they need to get tiny weights for little girls like yourself

Imagine following a program like a literal robot instead adjusting for the equipment you have and what works best for you.

Adding 5 kg at once? That's a lot. Your gym is weird and probably not real.

yes, or just do 2.5kg jumps. keep it simple

Are you stupid? Just add 2.5kg side. Then you do two sets with the heavier side by your right, then flip the bar and do two sets were your left side gets the tonka honk. Jeez, you zoomers are really something...

Just add 2.5kg on one side of the barbell*

Make sure to switch the side the plate is on after each set though

Kek. But since OP is actually autistic, don’t do that. Its both stupid and dangerous and you’ll frick yourself up this way eventually.

Option 1: buy 1.25kb microplates (or even just 1.25kg ankle weights, they'll likely be cheaper)
Option 2: just put on a single 2.5kg plate and hold the bar ever so slightly off centre so you're still balanced
Option 3: increase reps instead until youre able to make a 5kg increment
