Nattybros, is it really this bad?
Please give me some hopium
Lol, I beat all his maxes with like, 2 years of natty lifting.
Hell, in 2022, after being sedentary as frick for a year because of COVID, I went on internship way up north for 3 months. Since the pop was not dense, they didn't give a frick. I went hard at the gym 5-6 days a week because I was bored.
My deadlift went from 225 lbs for a 1RM to 585 lbs for a 1RM. Took a few weeks to get back into the groove and learn my form and shit again, but that took no time at all.
How the frick do you train for 10 years and have frick-all to show for it? If you're goal is to maintain and be healthy, that's fine. But this dude claims to be seeking gains for 10 years. What a chump.
Nattybros, is it really this bad?
Please give me some hopium
this guy has wasted his life on the gym just to build up to pathetic lifts and a mid physique. It has nothing to do with being natty, this guy is just a failure.
I am stronger than him and I've been lifting just over a year
literally have 100 pounds on his high bar squat
actually mine is for a set of 5 so even more
As other guys said this isn't bad but it is for lifting 10 years. I hit higher than these numbers within a year in high school and I was 190. Maybe he didn't lift or play sports when young and he has kinda low t and didn't develop the body for it when growing?
He trains like an idiot, wastes a shit ton of time in the gym hoping that the prostitute in bawdwear at his gym will approach him, and idolizes unachievable bodytypes (only achievable with roiding manlets). I know how redditors are; he probably spends close to 20 hours a week in the gym. If you just stop training like a moron, it's like 3 hours a week to look better than 99% of men on the planet. Not just novice gains; your whole lifting career only needs that much training in a week.
Strength goals are a meme, but any male can do better numbers than that. I'm super estrogenic, and I did more than that in 3–4 months on an SS ripoff. He probably did PPL on Reddit (I guarantee you he does PPL), so he makes no gains because there is no recovery.
I hate Rippetoe as much as the next guy, but if 140-pound twinks didn't keep acting like crabs and dragging people over to their own ineffective gym programs, this wouldn't happen so much.
Sunday off for Sabbath is not enough recovery after 6 days of nonstop lifting and their routines are usually hours long because they need to hit that imaginary 20 set goal. You have some emotional issue that requires you to go to the gym every day? Do a brosplit.
Everyone knows how important recovery is except the internet.
>so he makes no gains because there is no recovery.
Low intensity shitters are a cancer. It was reddit so I immediately knew without reading (tl;dr) that he was doing some fake metanalysis Schoefield bullshit about how "only volume matters" and wasting his time while validating himself by watching Jeff Nipples on youtube while he makes zero progress. >I'm going to get big and strong with yoga and light lifting far away from failure done for 1000 sets
It's a cardio mindset but at least a runner would have his mile time to be proud about.
>Low intensity shitters are a cancer
IST can't even decide what's the reason for him being dyel. Meanwhile half the fitness community is like "just lift bro", because they can do just that and get mad gains while drinking a shit load of alcohol and staying up til 3 partying. Genetics aren't real though.
stupid question but how can one not make recovery on PPL if the whole point of PPLxPPL is based on hitting muscle groups twice in a week and recovery time of 2/3 days.
You typed all this because another man is slightly shorter than average? You're unironically gay or a woman because only gays and ax wounds care about that.
unless he was talking about 70 to 80 year old range, absolutely not
If he is really bulking and cutting I'd have two guesses:
1. He is extremely low bodyfat, he might have the wrong bodyfat number sold by roided youtubers. Naturals don't really build much muscle under a certain threshold, your body gives a higher priority to rebuild your fat reserves than building muscule if you are too lean
2. Simply not training hard enough. Maybe he got sold a moronic lie on super low or super high volume
I'm a "science-based" lifting dude and i hit those numbers after 8-10 months of lifting. this guy is just moronic.
He could be doing any program, natty, roiding it doesn't matter, he's moronic. You can't unmoron yourself, he never had a chance.
Woah it’s almost like there are people with bad genetics for strength, athleticism and bodybuilding.
He should focus less on lifting and try to max out on other things which he can be good at.
Don't know why people are so quick to dismiss genetics as a possibility for heavily limited potential when it comes to lifting. There can be a range of moronic to genius for intellect, there can be a range of 5'2 manlet to 6'4 gigachad for height, but apparently there's miniscule if any range for lifting genetic potential. Is it just so you can be holier than thou about how you totally put in more effort and totally know more about lifting than the poor GDE?
There are definitely suboptimal things people do at the gym but if you're putting in a solid hour of effort 3-5 times a week, keeping track of your calories/macros, and using a program with progressive overload, none of the other minutiae should matter and genetics is all that's left. All this >ak-akshually
posting about how some minor detail in someone's training is totally why they're not making gains is moronic. Genetics are real, the Chad eats pizza meme is true, you play with the hand you are dealt but don't begrudge people venting how shit their hand is while they're playing it.
because if he just had awful genetics he wouldn't look the same, he would've gone from looking like an auschwitz victim to about average. You can't have normal muscle growth when you're not lifting and then suddenly be dysgenic once you start.
I don't know why being a loser being out of your control is a comforting thought to you but it's just not the case.
Because we need proof of genetics being a substantial limit. OP pic guy LITERALLY never did progressive overload. After ten years he's only doing a 235 bench as a 1RM, when he should be doing it for reps easily.

You would never reach a respectable mile time doing only low intensity.
This is just pathetic
I'm guessing he's one of the bros that goes for the pump and just 3x12s everything
I train 8 years natty and literally have 400lbs in total more on his bench/squat/deadlift at similar weight
Exactly. If I saw it wasn’t working after 6 months I’d do something else, he’s just one of those sheeple that keeps verifying his bad habits through muh karma and s0ience
>and just 3x12s everything
What else are you supposed to do? My gym instructors are all well built and they agree that 3x12 is good. I've done it and seen progress too.
>you'll look back in 10 years and see that the progress you see now is not real
I'm literally lifting heavier every week, how tf is that not real homie
3x12 is fine, but you're supposed to increase the weight
Well, of course. Are there people who just don't increase weights? lmao
Bench 1rm: 2pl8
Squat 1rm: 2pl8
Deadlift 1rm: 2pl8 tho i dont really train it consistently. But found it was the easiest to add weight to
Within my first 6 months of lifting i could do 1 pl8 bench for reps. I dont know why adding another has been such a struggle. Though to be fair ive always focused more on hypertrophy as I worked physically demanding jobs and lifitng heavy didnt make me feel good.
[...]
Oh and 6ft tall. No idea how much I wieghed in first one as I was constantly drinking and doing drugs not tracking shit. Right would probably be around 184lbs
you should be doing 2pl8 for reps after 7 years
it's not that you're natty it's that you're refusing to make it more difficult
The first 4 years of lifting I had no idea what I was doing and neglected legs severely. Would pretty much just do lifts that I found fun like curls, bench, DB press. Didnt really hit every muscle probably developped mad imbalances.
For the last 3 years ive been doing pretty much PPL 6 days a week. Though I kind of mix it up a bit.

this is what happens when you fall for the bulk cut meme, he said it himself, all he did is accumalte fat and then lose said fat, you can add a lot of muscle on yourself natty especially in 10 years time
How could you keep bulking and cutting so many times without realising you're not many making any progress? This guy is clearly an idiot who has no idea what he was doing
We already had this thread but why has nobody suggested that the poster isn't even real?
I posit that he's literally a bot. Some AI wrote shit designed to be demoralizing and it was posted to see if people would take the bait. And it seems they did. I refuse to believe that poster is a real human being without a timestamped video showing body and face and lifts.
I had this weird feeling that IST might legit be 80% bots outside of regular threads e.g. roiders, fat, qtdttot and yearly events like new years or zyzz birth/death day.
That's called your schizo synchronization. It's best to ignore it, but you can act on those tendencies to great effect in an e-war and more than likely win your argument.
This is his max lifts after 10 years in the gym, btw, is this what you can expect on natty lifting?
Depends on your training goals obviously and genetics. His numbers are probably above average in the typical gym though.
Lol, I beat all his maxes with like, 2 years of natty lifting.
Hell, in 2022, after being sedentary as frick for a year because of COVID, I went on internship way up north for 3 months. Since the pop was not dense, they didn't give a frick. I went hard at the gym 5-6 days a week because I was bored.

lol this is the guy making the life begins at 12% bodyfat threads
KEK, look at his post history
onions sauce? he means onions milk right?
>15 mL=920 mg sodium
He either meant soi milk or he's literally eating pounds of salt a day. Both are shit for your gains I imagine.
bro-bro, onions protein is exactly the same as animal protein, I swear

Redpill me on PPL. I did it for a few months, although nowadays I just train full body 3 days a week
Sunday off for Sabbath is not enough recovery after 6 days of nonstop lifting and their routines are usually hours long because they need to hit that imaginary 20 set goal. You have some emotional issue that requires you to go to the gym every day? Do a brosplit.

stupid question but how can one not make recovery on PPL if the whole point of PPLxPPL is based on hitting muscle groups twice in a week and recovery time of 2/3 days.
2 days is enough. People doing 3x fullbody will have the same if not less rest than PPL
> 3-4 months 385 lb squat
> SS ripoff
Uurr not doin tah prograhm readthe book.
>235 bench
hey that isn't so bad, I'm doing that as we-
>1RM
TEN
FRICKING
YEARS
t. 235 for 8 reps, 3 sets
At 150 I hit
>bench 315
>squat 350
>DL 410
This guy sucks. I guess some people really aren't going to make it.
>150
Pounds? How short are you?
Yes pounds sorry and 5'7"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
You typed all this because another man is slightly shorter than average? You're unironically gay or a woman because only gays and ax wounds care about that.
nice larp I doubt you can bench 3 pl8s let alone wrap your tiny midget hands around the bar for a deadlift kek.
unless he was talking about 70 to 80 year old range, absolutely not

His lifts btw, OP is a lifetime intermediate who got sucked into the "science-based" lifting lie
Those are high school numbers, lmao
No way this guy actually lifts, he probably goes to the gym and sits on his phone for 30 minutes
I'm a "science-based" lifting dude and i hit those numbers after 8-10 months of lifting. this guy is just moronic.
He could be doing any program, natty, roiding it doesn't matter, he's moronic. You can't unmoron yourself, he never had a chance.
This guy is either a complete GDE or a moron, how are his numbers that low after 10 years of effort and supposed knowledge
The person posting this is 180 lbs with a 230 lb bench and a 265 lb squat (1RM). They are a dyel and have no idea about lifting/training/diet
Why do you homosexuals spam the same threads over and over again every single day?
because it upsets people

If he was on IST, he would 100% be one of the anti-powerlifting shitposters

Oh no wonder. Hes basically on a permanent plateau lol

There's no way this was doing science based workouts bc the science clearly shows progressive overload builds strength and hypertrophy over time
Yeah
Source: my 7 year progress
post stats
Bench 1rm: 2pl8
Squat 1rm: 2pl8
Deadlift 1rm: 2pl8 tho i dont really train it consistently. But found it was the easiest to add weight to
Within my first 6 months of lifting i could do 1 pl8 bench for reps. I dont know why adding another has been such a struggle. Though to be fair ive always focused more on hypertrophy as I worked physically demanding jobs and lifitng heavy didnt make me feel good.
you should be doing 2pl8 for reps after 7 years
it's not that you're natty it's that you're refusing to make it more difficult
Yeah its partly my fault. But like I said, I worked manual labor and just didnt have the energy to focus on lifting heavy.
My situation has changed now and ive added like 30 pounds to bench and squat in the last 8 months. Really focusing on progressive overload now.
Relax my shoulders? Does my posture look bad or something?
How are you people benching 2pl8 for only 1RM?
is this a meme? am i getting trolled? what the frick is this???????????
>2pl8 after 7 years of lifting

You can't call it "7 years of lifting" if you were fricking around the entire time
Oh and 6ft tall. No idea how much I wieghed in first one as I was constantly drinking and doing drugs not tracking shit. Right would probably be around 184lbs
You need to relax your shoulder man. Do mixed grip deadlifts with the bad shoulder palm facing out.
I have read this on here before, can you spoonfeed me?
pls tell me this is a fricking joke
