I'm gonna keep this simple:
I'm 5'8", 170 lbs, just got done with my bulk, up from around 140 lbs. I wanna lose 1 pound per week. I work out 4-6 days per week, on a PPL split. I used MyFitnessPal to calculate how many calories I should be eating per day, and with a completely sedentary lifestyle, it says I should be eating 1700 calories a day. Is this correct? It seems slightly low. I've had some trouble with MyFitnessPal's calculations in the past so I just wanted to get a second opinion on this. Thanks.

Just eat less and keep track of your weight.
I never get why people starve themselves with slight deficits for months.
Just put on a backpack and go into the mountains for 2-3 weeks and you will lose 20lbs, then you can get right back into bulking and not waste your time with self-torture.

the most accurate way is to track what you eat normally for a few days, take the average of that, and then subtract 500 kcal to lose weight.
just eat at maintenance for a week and count the calories.
