Could have hyperactive thyroid. I remember back in year 10 at school somehow my thyroid got way out of whack.
If I had to estimate cals ide say I was eating around 5-6000cals and loosing weight, feeling tired, sleepy and not able to concentrate at school. Developed a really hollow face/eyes looked like a zonbie.
This was at 6’3 100kg start point, ended up getting down to 87kgs. All while eating a full packed lunch and multiples chickenburgers/suasage rolls and pies from the canteen.
Had to take these thyroid pills for about a year before it cleared up.
(semi) professional athletes get that easily. cyclists have a crazy maintenance, I also knew a biathlon chick that ate 3500 kcal despite being sticc mode.
Earlier videos, anon.
All his advice is pretty widespread anyway at this point, but back in early 2010's, he had a lot of good advice that wasn't easy to find elsewhere.
idk i tried to watch him and he doesnt fit me
anyway nippard's advice was basically to lift weights to put on muscle, some cardio, and to not do a too hars cut
i think its just simple knowledge all coaches have
how did they get the data points on the far left? did they test fetuses? Even newborns are around 3 kg, no?
maybe children?
short, lean people?

Swimmer I'll bet. It's not uncommon at all.

is it because they spend a lot of calories on cardio, or they are more built?
can they get a bigger tdee than a bodybuilder?
They usually have some muscle which increases the calorie expenditure (the more muscular swimmers tend to eat more), but it's mostly the amount and type of cardio they do. There is a lot of variety in their training, so they do a lot of sprints, a lot of short rest stuff, which basically causes them to consistently be at the threshold of the anaerobic energy system for an extended period of time, and a lot of volume. It isn't uncommon for the IM group (the group in between sprinters and distance swimmers) to do 12-15km in a day, and if it's a hard training period, then 5+km of that will be at a high intensity.
This is basically where swimmers/rowers differ from runners/cyclists, and why they tend to have greater energy expenditure than other athletes. (Distance) runners and cyclists basically just do a lot more low intensity volume, which doesn't cause as much necessity to eat as much to recover.
Yeah, fair enough. I stopped watching him several years ago, but took away several important training principles, namely >Consistency>anything else >On the same line, it's better to train and eat in a way that you enjoy than to do the "optimal" thing >Only you truly understand your body and can adjust your training accordingly >Train to failure - the exact number of sets and reps don't matter as much >Varying set and rep schemes
depending on size bodybuilders and strongmen have a higher passive tdee because their muscles need energy and oxygen every second of the day even if they don't lift a finger. Athletes like cyclists burn even more than that during competitions though.
must be hard being a fitness youtube personality, constantly having to reinvent the same old wheel >so if you exercise you burn calories and lose weight >if you don't eat you also lose weight >no one has said this stuff before right?
also who is this guy with a 5700 calories tdee?
what's his body fat%? what does he do to have such uber tdee?
instead of doing trials on thousands of people they should exclusively study that one guy
>that one gigachad with TDEE well over 6000 kcal at 70 kg bodyweight
Miring.
Metabolic/digestive disorder?

>to be less fat you should spend calories
Revolutionary. Next study on is water actually wet coming soon.
Jeff Cavaliere was saying this like 10 years ago.
Sorry that you follow the inferior Jeff.
i tried to watch him but cant tolerate him, too clickbait
too much "x is killing your gains, you're doing x wrong, x is hurting you" ecc
nippard is a more likable talker
even though his videos have a lot of research behind them, he sounds much less arrogant

actual athletes spend like 1500-2000kcal a day on cardio
how? 1-2 hours of cardio a day?
More like 2-5 hours.

But fatties lift tons of weight everytime they get up from the shitter? Scoence btfo.

You don't have to. Just stop eating.
