Nic autism

Am I the only one that gets a little stupider on nicotine? Like I think a little slower and have some kinda brain fart, and it especially affects social interactions. I'm not usually super autistic but after a cigarette or especially after e-cigarette usage I get a little more conversationally inept, and sound stupid or get quiet.
Anyone else have this? This is the only reason I'd quit smoking, I don't want to be a moron, especially if smoking around girls.

I also don't always have this, but sometimes I'll just be especially moronic and anxious after a smoke. Any way around this? I also get like this when I go without cigarettes for a long while

I think if you're particularly sensitive to nicotine and especially if your blood sugar is low then smoking a ciggy too quickly can definitely make you feel lightheaded and spaced out for a short while.

Otherwise, I've solved many problems during physics degree at uni out the back of my dorm... or during my engineering career whilst in the smoking shelter. I would often come back feeling sharper and more energised.

So it probably depends on you and how you consume it.

I don't know if it makes me actually dumber, but it can definitely make me less charismatic. I'm in a stage of life where my main concern is chasing after one girl or another (at the moment it's my old roommates fwb because I'm a moron) and it doesn't serve me to be all weird on withdrawal symptoms or all nervous weird on 50% of smokes I have.
Sometimes it makes the conversation flow better, other times it makes me get in my head and be a lot less funny. I'm talking like a looksmaxx incel here but I'm wondering if anyone else has this, because I couldn't find anything online

tl;dr half the time after a ciggy wiggy I become a self-conscious braindead moron for half an hour. And I'm not even usually that moronic

Just smoke more until it has less effect on you.

Then use less moronic. The dose makes the medicine...

Sometimes I find that if I'm in constant conversation while I take in nicotine, I don't get this, but the minute I'm alone with my thoughts I start getting anxious and stupid.

Do you honestly believe nicotine can be said to cause INTOXICATION? Is caffeination also intoxication from ingesting a drug?

Try an alternative to cigarettes. Cigs are full of poison. Pipe tobacco, cigars, and any other form of nicotine are much better.

I usually vape like a homosexual, which I find allows me to take much more nicotine, enough to make my legs go. But the physiological symptoms aren't what I'm talking about, I'm more talking psychological.

Nicotine clears my head and makes me think easier. But I have heard the opposite from some people.

This is true for me sometimes, but especially on too great an amount of nicotine it is the opposite effect. Not book-thinking, but just hindrance to general social intelligence.

If you take too much it can make you hyperactive. I cant take snus cos the shit is too strong for example, it makes my head spin and I want to puke. A low amount should help cognition tho.

I don't think it ever has a stimulant effect like "hyperactivity", but I think it can contribute, for me anyway, to neuroticism. As well as general physical lightheadedness, but that's alright as long as I'm not a lightheaded moron

Nicotine effects people differently, that might just be your nicotine high experience, not worth it imo unless you're getting focus benefits

Hi I'm here to help. It's acetylcholine you're noticing. Nicotine effects acetylcholine. Which is not something you want to frick with as using nicotine for long periods of time can cause a surplus or deficit leading to shit like dementia or Parkinson's. My acetylcholine is fricked too so I have to be careful with what I take. For instance, berberine is off the table. So is omega 3 pills. Nicotine is poison.

Also when I quit smoking I literally couldn't form sentences or words. I smoked from 13-29. But it only lasted a little while and I recovered. Try DXM, like cough syrup and take as directed. It may work, it may not. But just don't go back.

I know that nicotine fricks up your workouts and recovery because it contracts the blood vessels which leads to decreased bloodflow. It probably affects bloodflow (and thus oxygen delivery) to the brain as well. No idea if it’s enough to make you feel any noticably dumber though
