No motivation to workout

how do I fix this? I have depression, even brushing my teeth takes effort, tried tons of meds, different diets nothing works, and when it does, it is only short-term. I used to workout almost every day, but now my body just feels weak and tired the whole day, even though I sleep enough. I'm a vegetable at this point, I'm not fat either so losing weight won't help.

I take vitamin D and am the same in the summer.

      Microdose shrooms

It's illegal here but I can buy "truffles" from the internet here, and I did it once, bought a micro dosing pack which was way too expensive, but it helped. Maybe I will buy in bulk and freeze them or something and try again.

Wherever you are I'm 99% sure that buying a spores syringe isn't illegal (it doesn't contain any psylocibin at all) and for an initial investment of like 60 bucks you can start an unlimited production of shrooms with a small upkeep cost

do you think everyone who lifts has motivation to do it every day? Stop being a little bith and pick up a weight, relying on motivation will get you nowhere

Start going for walks and exercising less. Also, stay consistent with your diet both in quantity, style and timing.

Oh shit good to know anon, I drank a bunch of coffee, water, and electrolytes before and during the workout, did lower weights and higher reps too and I feel fine but will take that under consideration.

grease the groove works well for me. just set up a bar in your doorframe and everytime you go through that door you have to do a set/ hang for 90 seconds whatever. in general i tend to believe the only routine that matters is the one you can do on your worst days so try to organize your life around building habits rather than motivation

Have you tried pure carnivore? It makes me feel pretty good. Also if you are brushing your teeth with fluoridated toothpaste you are setting yourself up to feel like shit. Get yourself a box of baking soda and start supplementing iodine.

I used to feel like this. Then I forced myself to go one day, and I felt so much better after. The day after, I didn't go, and I started feeling like shit.

Now I have to go to the gym or I'll feel like shit again.

Just get more depressed, once you get into the abyssopelagic zone you will have nothing but energy to do things to improve, nothing will bring you joy and you will sleep 12 hours workout for 2 hours eat healthy food go to work wash rinse repeat.

What else is going on in your life? I find that the idea of lifting doesn't trigger motivating thoughts but once I force myself to go, it gets better. The thoughts of "if I'm not motivated the session will suck, I'll waste money and time" is an annoying thing to deal with but whenever I manage to beat it, I feel better after lifting. What does your head say whenever you think about lifting? Also working out every day isn't all that good, maybe you're just suffering hypercompensation - you overdid it with working out and now your body and mind are forcing you into a relaxed state. Try and get a walk in, a new sport, read a book anything. If the state persists for two or more weeks, I'd suggest finding a mental health professional. Good luck, anon.

do you have any hobbies or interests? statistically the meds help almost no one with qol so that shouldn't even be a surprise to you. get a screen time widget on your phone and just let it parse for a week, then look at the data and see how it makes you feel. consider limiting it or replacing your undoubted addiction with productivity by trimming a percentage off each week, even if it's only 5%

It’s amazing how much your outlook and mood impacts lifting and I’m not even talking about the lows of deep depression. On Monday I just didn’t want to go and it was a fricking grind but I did it and felt happy I forced myself to do it and even progressed some lifts. On Wednesday I was soaring and in such a great mood I felt like I could run through a wall and the lifting followed accordingly. I did three more lifts (9 sets) because I didn’t want to end it and I would have done more if I had time.

Only thing you can do is force it and fake it until you make it but I know that’s easier said than done when depressed. Still the data shows exercise helps depression and that’s part of your treatment so take it like medicine and go outside for walks in nature too.

It's not about motivation anon. But print a picture if your body out and put it on the wall next to a goal.
It's not motivation that moves you, it's discipline. You do it even when you don't want to.
    Noone ever regretted working out.
