No new years resolutioners at my gym this year

Anybody else notice this? Not only that but even regulars have stopped coming, which might have something to do with the gym membership doubling in price since last year but I'm not 100% sure. I have never ever seen something like this before, usually the first week of January you would see a lot and I mean a lot of new faces but not this year.
I am baffled on top of that some of the female cuties have also stopped coming which is a bummer.

I’m at PF so I have encountered them and there are no casuals…

There are two types of NYRs in PF
    >1. Morbidly obese on the brink of death fatasses
    >2. Clear roiders (never seen them before) that I suspect show up just to mog the new years resolutioners

That's not a real gym. I'm talking about regular gyms..

I really don't get the PF hate. Just by looking at the threads here, it's obvious most people are not jacked 250lb body builders on steroids who bench 5 plates like you seem to be suggesting.

Hell, look at Sam Sulek. He slums it at PF quite often. Like, am I really supposed to find some exclusive gym in my area that costs $100-200 per month just for vanitie's sake?

Don't be moronic. PF has everything most people here could possibly need.

        Post body.

Planet fitness is an american thing, that shit doesn't exist elsewhere. Get your head out of your ass.

Based. It’s not enough to succeed, others have to fail.

Fitness culture post lockdowns has exploded, folks who would've been resolutioners in previous years have been motivated to join whenever they get sucked into fitness social media.

Was dead the 1st week of the year but has picked up since this Monday.
Willing to be it's because the 1st was a holiday and you juuust possibly can't start your new routine on a Tuesday! That would be ridiculous!
Normies are so predictable it's sickening

I’ve worked at a climbing gym for coming up on two years while in university. Last New Year was insane, probably filled out 10-15 new memberships a day and we were flooded out the door with day-pass buyers until probably mid-February. This year has been dead as frick, to the point the company started a 0-initiation deal and then EXTENDED that out another week because people just weren’t signing up. Wish I had a way to compare the data between years but the drop in visitors is obvious to everyone who works here and most of our regulars have commented on it too. Maybe the climbing trend has finally peaked and is fading out but it’s still been sort of bizarre

Normies must have gotten extra blackpilled last year. Be a real shame if the trend continues this year..
