I've tried it so many times hoping thatu taste buds will ha e changed somewhat and I might aquire a taste for it but I just can't. Its definitely the texture.
Maybe try a different brand, I know some are completely different texture wise cause they all dry it different ways

I genuinely cannot understand this. It's the greatest snack ever made, not OP btw. The only time I understood this perspective is when people have some other kind of meat preserving tradition, tried some bottom of the barrel store bought jerky and then ruled all jerky out as like a concept.
I eat beef jerky on a daily basis. I love the Jack links sweet and hot and I like to dip my beef jerky in the ritz cheese and cracker processed cheese.

The macros are good but there must be a catch. I have noticed in general that processed cold meats are much worse for me than normal cooked meat. I feel like it's worse on the gut and the gym progress/gains are worse when I eat more processed meats like sausages, jerky, etc. instead of normal meat.
I guess the preservatives might have something to do with it
