do 30 minutes of sun exposure daily without any sunscreen then everything else with mass amount of sunscreen or no sun at all

          Anonymous

Wrong. The only sunlight you need is that which goes into your eyeballs, and you want to get that early in the morning before the UV goes up and starts to fry the shit out of your DNA

Every little bit of exposure to sunlight builds up. The damage is cumulative and irreversible and it starts to show in your late 20s if you haven't been protecting your skin from the sun.

The good news is, you can still start TODAY!

WEAR THE DAMN SUNSCREEN and reapply every 2 hours... or you can shrivel up like a raisin I guess, whatever, not my problem

Balance and moderation, a foreign concept on the internet.

        Anonymous

        Both.
It is absolutely healthy, the sun does more than vitamin D, probably more than we currently know.
But it is reality that it ages your skin.
You, for some reason, believe that it can't be both. But concerns about looks longterm has got nothing to do with day to day health. Strictly avoid the sun is also very unsocial, more important than any of this for health.

I would get sun in the morning and otherwise avoid it where you can, but not to an extreme degree. Sunscreen is also bad for you, since your skin takes in its ingredients. So I recommend using clothing and a good widebrimmed hat over sunscreen. Thick and black is best. Or specially made to protect, but any covering will help better than sunscreen anyway. Since sunscreen is meant to be applied in a thick layer, which most people don't do. You could also use an umbrella if you're game. Generally avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun during the most high UV parts of the day (you'll have to check, it should vary by different parts of the year as well) by planning for it without crippling your social life and staying home is a good idea.

        Anonymous

Take the vitamin D pill... or natural sources of it. Sunscreen blocks the UV light you need to make vit D but UV light can also damage skin cells (not a problem since the cells get repaired just don't stay out enough to get burned.

I blame the therapy and antidepressant industry. I realized it yesterday that my whole time growing up once I hit high school I saw the beginning of this whole "There's something wrong with you, you need therapy BS". I graduated HS just as it started seeping into schools, but no one noticed and everyone thought that's cool but I don't need therapy. Now, a decade later, I see all of these kids saying they have anxiety over literally nothing and everyone is popping adderal to "help them study" or xanax for their "depression"

For reference I'm 27, born in 96. I don't want to sound like a boomer, but frick man, kids today are soft and are way too addicted to their phones. Stress does prematurely age you.
But nutrition and health have a much greater impact on this than social stressors.
Hence why people can develop anxiety disorders over basically nothing.
Their bodies don't function correctly and self-regulation becomes impossible.

Best answer. Better to be a hobby chef than a foodie, homebrewer than drinker, unpublished writer than a reader, YouTube creator than watcher, fit than ISTizen. Always more fulfilling to do something yourself (competently) than hire someone or buy it. Arguably the worst hobby is video games (comparable to a woman saying her hobby is reality tv).
Find something both productive and fulfilling as a hobby and don’t mistake hobbies for entertainment. Also, don’t force hobbies because you think you’re supposed to have them. They should be personally gratifying, otherwise it’s just a pointless way to fill a social role.

I've been saying since forever that if consuming media, video games, books etc, are to be considered "hobbies" then so should heroin

        >b-but le hobby is something that you enjoy doing in your spare time
        ok i enjoy shooting up
        >b-but video games help with hand to eye coordination and you get to meet new people if you play online!
ok heroin helps you meet new people (dealers and other junkies), helps you learn how to hustle for quick bucks, teaches you about human anatomy (where to shoot), teaches you chemistry, teaches you the layout of the city, etc

someone explain to me why video games are considered a hobby but heroin is not, I'M WAITING

Most lifters, unless they are two digits IQ consumers, live in a constant state of depression and nihilism, trying their best but unable to perform in a hyper competitive and oversaturated world, knowing that all their struggles and accomplishments are meaningless in the great scheme of things.

Also having "hobbies" and "self-improvement" becomes really old by the time you hit your mid-thirties, and by your forties you'll understand you wasted the best years of your life coping thinking you were going to do all those great things only to soon realize none of your dreams even materialized and there is no escape except the rope.

    Ranked by order of importance.
    1. Don't smoke cigarettes. Keep drinking to a minimum.
    2. Wear sunscreen. Go outside it's good for you, just wear sunscreen made in Japan or Korea if you're out more than 15 min. Never tan.
    3. Exercise. Lift heavy and don't get fat. But also don't be contest lean because some fat in your face prevents the aged, gaunt look.
    4. Manage your stress and sleep enough.
    5. If you're really serious about this apply retinol every other day. OTC adapalene is good. Hardcore motherfrickers use RX tretinoin.

        >but lift heavy and wear carcinogenic sunscreen
        >also don't be too skinny
Might as well be aging like milk.
Being skinny is quite literally the easiest way to stay youthful, excessive muscle mass ages you horribly. It's constant damage to your body for the sake of it and physical stress manifest itself.

Be athletic, cardio > weight lifting for looking young.

For bodybuilding, not lifting it's roids and single digit BF%. Powershitters age bad because they're fat and roids. Anything taken to the extreme like enhanced bodybuilding or powershitting is obviously bad for you. Asians take sunscreen very seriously because pale = beautiful there, so it's high quality. I explicitly said don't wear carcinogenic, American sunecreen. How does it feel to have room temp IQ?

I think my hormones are finally settled down. I don't feel excited about anything since I've hit 33. I feel peaceful and I enjoy the things I do in general, but I miss that feeling of having a carrot on a stick before me, you know? The vision, the passion. Is this normal? Feels like from now on I "just" have to maintain what I gathered by this point (family, job etc) till retirement and that's it.

If you haven't got over the existential angst of aging in your late 20s then you're a manchild and its over for you. The most embarrassing cope that has popped up in the last couple years is where every single post of someone has a billion comments: I'm x age and look younger than him blah blah blah.

I can bench 3 plates for reps. I don't care. If the zoomer takes the compliment as a "wow, this guy thinks I'm better than him !" he ought to be humbled one day. But whatever. Zoomers are young men, and young men tend to be pridefull ignorants.

Stop listening to right wing grifters online if you want a good headstart. They literally try to say guys without wrinkles and a rocking a full head of hair are "zoy." Then they pin their heart attack inducing "manliness" juice and age 30 years in 5. Seriously, just don't listen to them and you're doing 90% better than most people.

You are good irl until you hit 30, but the app itself will try to match you with women your own age, you will match with teens, but less than if you lie.

      >get some sun, it's good for your health and mood, boosts vitamin D production
      >don't get sun, it ages you and destroys your cells
      Which one is it homosexuals?

If you have a poor antioxidant status, poor skin health, low glycine uptake and consume lots of PUFAs, then the sun will absolutely burn the shit out of you and give you premature aging and cancer.
Brown slowly every year with a perfect nutrient and antioxidant status, as well as loads of glycine and it will only slightly age your skin.
      It's that simple.

In moege, any girl is romantically interested in me and ready to give me her virginity at the drop of a hat.
In real life, no girl has ever shown such interest in me.
    Why?
I've always considered myself a nice guy. Is that worth nothing?
Why do I have to be left out, ridiculed even, while worse people get to have all the fun and money?
...If this world doesn't appreciate me, maybe I should stop playing nice altogether.
This wretched society has broken me... and I' about to break it right back.
