the dude babyraging about someone lifting in the gym is always the one in the wrong

physically interfering with anyone doing any lift with serious weight is dangerous as frick
lifter should've cheap shot him while he is in his face doing the biggest ape charade

This - especially a deadlift and especially with straps. Aside from the regular danger imagine if the lifter's back is about to tweak right at that point and then suddenly massive force in the opposite direction, it could be paralysis. He also pushed him as he was already going to get his stuff, dude is nuts and should be sucker punched but who knows if he would then stab you to death or something. He probably belongs in prison. Like how could it be so fricking important that the guy has to leave at that exact instant.

Dude was deadlifting with shit form. Using straps and then dropping the weight onto mats instead of rubber. He's an idiot, and the tank bro is based.

Deader didn't care about safety with that rounded back and dropping weight with straps anyway. Not an defense.

I forgot about this shit. A bunch of us called the gym demanding they take action. Apparently the gist of it is the cringe Arab got a lifetime ban from the gym, his friend on staff got fired, and the kid got a free membership to a legit hardcore gym and a ton of support. He may or may not have pressed charges against the guy, anyone know about that?

      >and the kid got a free membership to a legit hardcore gym
I find this hard to believe.

Not really, literally everyone big youtuber, fitness guy at the time made a reaction video about it so the story got a lot of publicity.

In Canada people don't press charges. The police decide whether or not to pursue criminal prosecution.

The police always decide, press charges just means to press them to do it.

Its been explained to me that you can hire a criminal prosecutor on your own dime to push the crown to press charges, but yes, cops typically decide.

That said, they do ask if you want to escalate the situation or have the person charged/arrested. I had a bike stolen and when they found it the kid was 17 and the cops had him in the car and they literally asked if I want to take it further or if they can let him go. I let him go.

Is there a psychological reason why some people hate deadlift slams in the gym?

Autists hate loud sudden noises and femoids think its some toxic masculinity shit to ignore your negatives when lifting.

      >the airhumping before the pulls
      Weird and unnecessary
      >zero eccentric control
Just bad form and not helping anything, control the weights
      >1" pads for steels on a hard floor
Disrespectful to the equipment, damages plates and bars
      >touching a barbell in motion ever, interrupting a set
      Absolute violation
The court dismisses, merely a case of two knuckleheads meeting each other

It's just annoying and it does really frick up the equipment.

the guy who assaulted someone for lifting weights with correct form in a gym

      >mark cameltoe
Anyways there's more control here than in the op video. He was not guiding it down at all, he just released tension and let it yank his whole upper body with it, basically the same as dropping it just going along for the ride.

The dude got away with it. He faced no consequences. No punishment. Nothing.
