Used to eat them every day then quit about 5 years ago, did my digestion a ton of good. Just another high-profit meme food fad that people think is healthy.
I think I have some sort of digestion issue. I can only tolerate certain amounts of things, like dairy, breads, certainly fats. Sausage makes me a stinkbomb.
Maybe it's the same thing as with switching to being vegan. Gut flora changes and you fart non stop for 2 weeks or so. Or you have no other fiber sources in your diet so your gut needs time to adjust. Just guessing tho
I've been eating them this way for years, and it seems each year has gotten riskier/worse for basically indigestion if I eat them. I didn't always get gas when eating oats. I'm beginning to wonder if it's the amount i'm eating in one go.

Whenever I eat oats I have the worst gas imaginable.
I soak them in boiling water for a few hours, then eat. Yes, rolled oats. They are not tough to chew, nor are the mushy, when cooked this way.
What am I doing wrong?
Maybe you have celiac disease or something.
I've definitely considered it.
