I heard side bends were pretty poopy for hypertrophy. I've been doing russian twists with a medicine ball to failure at my gym and I've been seeing pretty good results.
I like to pre-exhaust with weighted decline situps so I'm not repping out russian twists for like 30 reps.
Here is my abs routine >crunch x 30 >oblique floor crunch x 30 (each) >leg raises x 20 >bicycle crunches x 40 >dragonfly x 10 >plank >lateral plank
You must do all of them without stopping, three times per week
Side bends off of a 45 degree back extension is the best IMO. Nothing else gives me oblique DOMS but this shit made me sore for a week from just 3x12 with no additional weight.
>Just take up sprinting, track, discuss bro >Just use a bunch of meme PT exercises on specialty equipment bro >To grow the least aesthetic muscle on your body
Literally just squat and deadlift and it'll take care of itself do you people just like wasting time or something
Bros, i want middle and upper oblique, i don't want to look like the cursed physique guy ( you know the one) i just want a frame around my abs you know? Like pic related
How do you even isolate them? That weighted turny rope thing?
There are many ways. I do side bends with a kettlebell.
Oh shit I rember those from that anime, I'll give them a try
Protip: do them really slow. I heard of this from somewhere and doing it I feel my obliques a lot better.
Tried these today with a kettlebell. Felt good man
Twist and shouts
Oblique raises with a dumbell
Isn't it more effective to dip the weight down for the stretch before leaning all the way over?
You can do that yes.
i'm a low iq dumdum, should you also be holding the dumbbell with your left hand?
>So, you come here often?
heh
Suitcase carry. By far the best way to load them. These and front squats are best core work
Just punch and kick a bag or something
deadlift
High rep unless you want fridge mode
Sprinting, you're welcome

I was a track Discus thrower for about 6 years.
That gives you pretty insane obliques.

You're not gonna look like arboristanon even if you try. That said, do what was recommended ITT: side bends/oblique raises.
High reps sword swings and staff OH holds can be both done with a staff.
