            reminder: the metabolic rates/excess/deficit between people of the same age/gender/height/weight/fitness level/etc can vary by upwards of 1700+ cals, further hormonal responses to hunger and satiation can vary vastly as well (the most obese roll poorly on all stats)

            naturally its still, ultimately, about calories in calories out. But your metabolic processes and hormones can make a MASSIVE difference in effective calories out and change your impulse in regards to calories in. Thus making the "choice" to be fat or not a LOT easier.
            reminder, almost noone uses a foodscale outside of IST, the vast majority of people just eat when hungry, and stop eating when satisfied, and yet not everyone is morbidly obese despite an infinite availability of calories. Some are even skinny

        If it's fat you are looking to lose do not do a dry fast, just do a regular fast. Dehydrating yourself will harm your body and won't burn extra fat. Have a small amount of protein, maybe a whey protein shake before bed, so you don't lose muscle mass from your heart. Do as much cardio as you can to burn extra calories, if you can swim all day or something then do that.

    If man. I saw the scale hit just shy of 300lbs and it’s been effortless for me to suddenly adhere to a diet. Idk what it is. From 225 all the way until now I have WANTED to get lean again and have had many failed attempts, each time I felt like shit whether it was an appropriate deficit or a fad diet or whatever tactic. Now I'm eating maybe 1000 calories a day and I feel fine. No fatigue. No irritable moods. No headaches. No dizziness. No issues shitting. No depressive moods related to diet. No cramps. No nausea. Nothing. I’m basically starving myself but I feel fine.
    Purely because the number disgusted me. Idk why 280 vs 300 affected me so differently but it did. My cravings for junk are even going away and almost Jon existent. I’m just disgusted. Try getting disgusted. I’ll probably be down to like 250lbs in 3 months the way I’m eating and walking.

    Well, if you dont want to be slowed down, should maintain a caloric defict up to 1000kcal per day. Above this defict, your body starts to cut some neural functions to preserve your mass (unless you fat as frick).

    Anyway, to calculate your daily kcal expendure (in a generic way) you could calculate in METs, thats about ~~*3.5xBODYWEIGHT)x60x24) / 1000)x5

    This would give a idea about your basal expendure. After this, get a physical activty compendium and calculate your mean daily expendure. Adjust you diet based on it (calculate for -1000kcal daily).

    A kilogram of fat is around 7700kcals, so you can lose around 1kg of fatness by week. In the beginning, you lose almos three times this mass because you loses mainly water, but your weight will go down fast.

    BTW, drink a lot of water, since its required on the fat metabolism.

    Water fast. It's not healthy, you're going to lose a decent amount of muscle and it will fricking suck the entire time but you will lose a LOT of weight.
    Just be careful about passing out towards the end and when you break the fast work back up to food SLOWLY.

      this did it for me. Down 80lbs from 350 to 270. Do 10K steps a day MINIMUM. Then start trying to hit 10K half way through your day so you get more like 15-20K. Then adding in weight/rucking is the next step.
      That said, if you're a sedentary fatass any walking is better than none. If you're only getting 5K or so steps, make your goal 7K for a few weeks, then 8, 9, etc. This is how I started. Just walk more.
