The couple times I've been on vacation and at an all-you-can-eat restaurant and said "today, I am going to eat until I am full, just because I am on vacation and I can" I've been able to trivially eat well over 6k calories in one sitting. Admittedly, I do a lot of cardio, so my one meal is usually 2500-3000 calories anyways so it's really just eating a double meal, but as a recovered fatty you still keep the ability to eat several days' worth of food in one sitting.
