Wtf man? But that would make it harder to dip. Gotta keep dipping. Pump out those reps of dips, take it to failure, keep dipping anyway. You don't dip, man, it's obvious and I'm embarrassed - for you. Brb, dipping
I finally understood proper form with dips when I realized that I wanted the fullest stretch possible on my pecs, which required yanking my shoulders as far back as possible on the bottom of the eccentric, even if i have to go below parallel. All the tension in my shoulder went away, and now my lats get DOMs.
i love dips but bout 2 weeks ago i started getting this pain on the right side of my sternum every time i do them so i've had to replace them for now. some of my best gains have been made from dips and i really miss them. how can i avoid this happening again after my recovery
I guess you dipping below parallel, had the same when I did it. Your cartilage near sternum inflamed as cartilage works as elastic elements in that case. The fact that you have it on one side may mean that you are leaning at the side in some way.
I had to go a few weeks without dips and then I only go for parallel and it's ok.
I just realized they named an entire constellation after this lift.
It even looks like a arm with overgrown triceps.
That's some ancient wisdom right here.
I used to be able to easily do 50 dips (e.g. 10×5 12×4).
I stopped training for like 6-9 months and now dips is one of the hardest exercised to get back into. The other one is vertical jump, I could regularly land a 39" vertical (which is pro athlete level) but I find jumping so difficult now. Even the impact from 24" hurts
Back from climbing, finished the session with my usual ring dips
Wench sitting on the edge of the mat had to sidle a little sideways to keep distance from my feet while I rested midset
She then ignored me while I completed my sets, clearly intimidated
Dipchads win eternally
Stop posting pictures of me without my permission
I feel like I'm going to snap city in three different places every time I dip. I want to do it but my shit is fricked up.
>dips almost naked for weight reduction
>not adding 2 plates for increased gains
dipping is more important than gains
you simply don't understand...
>tfw you just unmasked yourself as a non-dipper
>tfw you don't even understand
>tfw we will laugh about you later during the dipmaster council meeting

Crack a cold one.
>grinds your shoulders into dust
That's a myth. Monkeys dip all the time.
>t. benchfatty with triple-ripped cuffs
that's why you dip heavy
joints are worn by accumulated attrition
What's wrong with dipping
Nothing

Short = bench
Tall = dips
Elaborate

i'm 6'7
what is this, your progress over time?
yeah, the more i lift, the worse it gets, idk why
overtraining? What's your split? I recommend upper lower 4 days a week, gives you enough rest even if you go overboard
Weighted ring dips every push day lads.
Nothing you can do can or will stop me.

I learnt this recently, once it gets easy I tend to go below parallel, now I just lean forward or do them from a tuck planche position

>right square shape is the joocy triceps
