There's nothing snobby about not wanting you or your family to drink industrial by-products that they unironically add to the water. They do this because they think their teeth will fall out of their skulls, if they don't drink the industrial by-product daily.

They are shit at filtering. Don't believe me then waste your money on one and waste more of your money for third party quality testing and you'll see what a waste of money they are.

Do simple water filters not remove this stuff? Why do I need to deconstruct my water?

I've been considering getting one too but I'm kinda worried about the re-mineralization part.

If I understand this right, water put through reverse osmosis is basically distillied water and therefore not very good for you so you need a mineralization filter as well. How do i make sure the filter is working and actually mineralizing the water adequately? I wouldn't want to end up drinking nearly distilled water for a long period of time because the filter turned out to be shitty. Are there some cheap tests i can run to confirm or something? Any trusted filter brand? Hel me out here.

You could add mineral drops after if you don't have a remineralize. Even if you don't not a hug deal most minerals are gonna be from food

buy something from a reputable brand and you'll be fine. most RO systems come with a full package, if not just go to a water store.
