This. Ever since my wife did the kitchen reno and got all wolf appliances I laugh at anyone who brings up the fact that they use an air fryer. Only dumb goys buy this shit.
air fryer has its uses, i think they're legitimate.
one is they're quicker than the oven. no pre-heat time and usually the cook time itself is less than the oven or at least the same.
one is they do fries much much better than an oven. particularly re-heating them.
you stick leftover fast food fries in an air fryer and they taste damn near the same as they did fresh. you probably wouldn't notice it if you got air fryer re-heated ones passing as fresh as the store.

BPA-free plastic still has shit in it that does similar stuff to you as BPA so I think you're right to be suspicious.
