I see the supermarkets loaded up with these things this time of year, but never really thought about what they are. What is different about this that your normal fruit cake?
Why are they like this? I'm a neet and sometimes get into arguments with mom because she insists on buying croissants, carrot cake, choco cookies and the likes.
Moms can't help themselves. They see a sweet treat in the store and they can't help but buy it, especially if it's on sale. In the moment, they don't think about your diet, they just think "oh boy this'll be a nice treat for anon", so you can't let yourself get too upset about it. Just do your best to fit it into your macros and don't overindulge.
