Listen, I like pb and I like apples but the combination of the two sounds like some moronic ironic joke that a bunch of people took too literally and couldn't back out of. Seriously, what's the appeal? Grab a mouthful of pure pb before it slides off the wet apple and onto the floor, then crunch through the apple which has been reduced to flavourless watery texture by the salt of the pb overwhelming your taste buds. Gee, sounds great.

i just combine them in my mouth
        tastes good simple as that

you're just making shit up now, typing things and hope that they sound convincing to others
the sweet and slightly tart flavor of the granny smith apples is a perfect complement to the salt in crunchy peanut butter
you probably shouldn't bother with this combination, though, you seem devoid of taste
I bet you're fricking ugly too, btw

It's fine. I use locally made jam with some freshly ground peanut butter and I put it on sourdough bread from a bakery. It's high calorie but how you feel compared to Jiff on wonder bread with mystery fruit spread is night and day

i wanna make my own peanut butter and jam but i think i'd stick to normal white bread. anything else just feels wrong. i'm bulking anyway so i don't mind the extra calories

I make it with a sugar free peanut protein powder mixed with salt and olive oil for Omega 3 fat. If you get a mild flavored olive oil, the texture and taste is delicious.

I have a far superior knowledge of nutrition to you.

I know all about antioxidants, bioflavonoids, hormone compounds, whatever Black person take your pick.

          The fact remains
          >glucose is still glucose
The sugar found in processed food (not HFCS) is the exact same sugar found in fruits in nearly equal balance.

The point I'm making is about the obvious and constant hysteria over SUGAR, where people schizophrenically seek "natural" sugar options as if they're different AT ALL (which they aren't).

          Now frick off moron.

The sugar isn't different. The beneficial micros in natural sugar sources and detrimental additives in processed foods are.

And the "low-sugar" variety of your processed goyslop ALA

              >pb is 100% peanuts with the only other optional ingredient being salt
              >jam has no added sugars and is 100% fruit (rarely available at the supermarket, have to make it yourself pretty much)
              >bread is whole grain
              Sure, that's healthy even.

doesn't make a lick of difference.

Once again you've made a massive leap to the idea that I'm somehow "defending" processed food, rather than talking about sugar. Once again you've ignored the VERY obvious point being made to give me this babble about nuance when you've failed to grasp even the obvious point yourself.

I love eating it along with some 99% chocolate and fruit on the side after the workout, maybe some milk too. But:
      >i am using sugar free peanut butter, bread
why do you need to specify sugar free PB and bread? I get it with jam, since if you want it sugar free you have to make it yourself, but PB and bread?

Sometimes a very small amount of peanut oil is added on PB.

        >Sometimes a very small amount of peanut oil is added on PB.
No, it isn't. Finely grinded peanuts release oil. It's this oil that makes pb creamy. It naturally separates as a top layer over time at room temperature. If pb has any added oils on the label, don't buy it.

You're technically correct. Nuts are technically seeds in general, but peanuts are not even actually nuts. The plant is a legume and peanuts are its seeds, they're botanically closer to peas.

            >frick this shit
Did you know evoo is made out of olives with seeds still in them, therefore it's a fruit/seed oil mixture?

most peanuts are laced with glyphosate, do your research on the brand before you buy

You literally can't make jam without sugar, that's why there are no sugar free jams at stores. I don't know what you're buying but it is probably not safe for human consumption.

        so here's the plan:

        >put berries in pot
        >boil berries for a while
        >???
        >jam
why won't the berries turn into jam? i haven't tried it before but i can't see why it wouldn't work

          You need pectin.

            Anonymous

ok, so if i put an apple in the jam for pectin it should turn out fine?

              Anonymous

You need pectin if you want to create jam (from fruit) with LESS sugar. There are products of pectin that claim that you can use zero sugar with it to make jam, but it doesn't really make sense unless it has something else with it (probably not for human consumption). Pectin is in fruit and different fruits have higher or lower levels which can be used to make jam. Fruits with lower levels need added pectin. Added sugar is used to bond with water molecules to gel and set the pectin. If you don't use any sugar all you're going to get is watery hot mush or you'll be evaporating out all the water waiting to see it gel and get shitty dried fruit.

Apple or citrus fruit should work, but it's easier to just buy pectin powder.
