Are they good for getting in shape? I keep seeing ads for them all over.

Is cardio good for getting in shape? Yes. Do you need a $2,000 bike to get in shape? No.

Frick no. Buy a decent bike of Craig'slist, or The Pro's Closet if you're a pimp, and get a training stand.

I did it with a Schwinn, did a month free trial. It was ok, good at keeping you going during the workout. My gf had one she lost a ton of weight with it but honestly man bikes suck ass, couldn't find a seat that wouldn't hurt after 45min

Was it the seat itself or your adjustment?

        sage

It's always the adjustment unless you are very overweight. If you are doing work most of your weight will be on your legs.

Go buy an ad homosexual. Stay mad that Theo dropped your asses as an advertiser and Dana is purging you from his stock. Go shill your israeli bikes on instagram or something.

go buy a mountain bike and ride some local trails. infinitely more engaging than a stationary bike and a much better workout. plus you'll meet some bros/girls

I made the switch to gravel/cyclocross a few years ago and my Cannondale now mostly sits unused. Just much more versatile.

I'm for anything with wheels. If people can make a stationary bike work good on them but I would go nuts pedaling in place for an hour. I take my full squish on gravel paths all of the time and while it's not "efficient" I enjoy my time with it and that's really all that matters.

That I can agree with. If someone was in the market for a new bike and did not live near actual downhill trails I would definitely recommend going gravel though.

I like spin bikes cause you can get meditate while biking once you are used to a set pace. sometimes it feels like 2 minutes but it's actually 20 minutes.
