yea its annoying at first, but you get used to it.

People who use the stairmaster have the best legs in the gym
i can only do this machine for about 10 mins, then im soaked in sweat and gassed out.
This thing gasses me out harder than any other cardio too, I do it for an hour with intervals set to go between speed 2 and 4 which is pretty slow but I will still be completely soaked in sweat and dead at the end every time
unironically though
if i… i mean, my friend, wanted to twinkmaxx, would it be in my… my friend’s best interest to use the stair master over a treadmill?
asking for a friend
Lol, yeah don't go faster/steeper than you can handle. I see so many people using shit technique doing a workout that is harder than they can handle. If you start hunching over, just lower the incline, rest and repeat.
I once did 45 mins straight on one of these machines at about 10 speed (not super fast but fairly fast) watching the final episodes of jojo stone ocean
It's actually insane how much walking up stairs kicks your ass. The elevator broke in my 30 story building and I consider myself fit but almost had a heart attack walking up 20 stories. The fat frick I lived with went to live with his parents until the elevator starting working again lmao
Wish I had one of these at home but they cost more than my power rack, barbell, bench, and weights.
When I was prepping at home for the CPAT (firefighter physical test) I would just step up and down from a chair I had laying around the house while wearing a 60lbs weight vest + 15lbs of dumbbells in a backpack. Amazing how many people get filtered by this and it’s the first event in the test.
Anyone have any tips on doing stair climbers without this specific kind of machine? I know you could run bleachers, but there’s the aspect of going down the stairs that disrupts the cadence you have on the machine. I’m in a metropolitan area with tall buildings but I don’t think most places are cool with a guy walking up their stairs wearing a weight vest for a workout
I'll be at the gym in an hour and I want to give it a try.
Are you supposed to only step with your toes? And how fast should I go?
I'm a cardiolet btw.
>how fast should I go
As with any new exercise you should start slow and work your way up slowly to guage your current level,
if you overestimate yourself you could end up injuring yourself or looking a fool
Yeah, stairmaster or max incline walk Stacies have the best legs in my gym.
You unironically can't tell the difference between someone who does 90 minute leg days and someone who skips legs entirely.
I have size 13 feet and find the stairmaster very annoying because my heel hangs off every step.
that will build your calves up
I have size 14 and do fine. I never put my heels on regular stairs going up either.

>doesn't toe step
This why you neurotypicals have tooth pick calves.
Use the ball of your foot like a normal person, clip-clop.
the gym twink keeps hogging the only one, how do i fix this
frick him in his impossibly firm twink ass
unironically though

tell your friend that if he wants juicy bum and calves he should use the stairmaster. it's the ultimate all-round leg exercise
ok thanks
i’ll be sure to uhhhh let him know
What if my, or his rather, thighs are too big and muscly already? Will the stairmaster make... his... thighs too large in comparison to butt?
Tell your friend there's better ways to cope with his life than novel depravity. Call him a homosexual too.
Rape

I had the same problem, turns out you're not supposed to run up them.
conveniently enough, that just happens to be me
The only reason why Ric Flair is still alive is that he uses one daily for an hour for over 50 years now.
My gym has only a single stairmaster and it's always being used by some chick, can I emulate it by putting the treadmill on max incline?
Yes, just don't hang onto the rails. Use your core, keep your chest up
Thx, I hope pic related doesn't happen

How do your gyms only have 1? Mine has 4.
Oooh, look at Mr. Big City over here! He has a whole FOUR stair masters to choose from!
Must be nice.
My gym has like 30 stairmasters
Nah. Legs are built with heavy squats, extensions, curls, hip hinges, and calf raises.
empirically false
Please provide sources.
I am interested.

checked these out of curiosity for a home gym and their prices range from 8k to eighteen thousand euro
jesus christ
Try this it basically does the same thing as a "stair master"

how do i climb stairs
what's the upper body equivalent?
Same thing but in a wheelchair.
Don't lean on the handles
How much better is it than an elliptical?
