The fitness industry has come full circle. Athlean X says because you're not micromanaging the .0000001%th of your form, it's hurting you. This guy's saying perfect form is killing your gains. You gotta be shitting me. Just fricking lift bros. We're all gonna make it.

You can just tell by his face he’s wrong
You don't need to be perfect. You can get by with 90% form. The problem is when you start using other muscles to compensate for your weakness. That's when you start losing gains
Nothing "kills gains". You're either gaining or you're not.
anon if you are not gaining then you are kills gains.
Form break down as you struggle out your last rep or two is expected and encouraged. If you stop curling because your bicep can’t get it up and you don’t want to even slightly sway your hip to get it that last 1% you’re leaving gains on the table. The obvious thing here is that you should aim for perfect for as long as you can maintain it
B-b-but... perfection RUINS gains, just l-l-listen t-t-t-t me
>REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Watching people on youtube is killing your gains
House of Hypertrophy is the only youtube channel I watch for lifting now. The rest are either gay or inaccurate.
how do you know that he knows what he's talking about? I was only able to find one pic of him and he looks dyel as frick
I hate this John Legend/Pooh Bear/Athur the Aardvark/Xi lookalike
depends
if you are slapping on more weights, you are gonna get gains unless you literally throw the weights
i guess i can see his point when it comes to those mega autists who never get past 2pl8 squats because they are form perfectionists
if you are truly pushing yourself, your form will falter at least slightly; but it's fine as long as you arent doing good morning squats
No shit.
dyel and perfect form, name a more iconic due. the more you obsess over form, the smaller you are. this seems to be the general guideline. i have never seen a formgay lift over 1/2/3/4
I have never felt like IST was a based community until now. Thanks bros.
He is ugly. Ugly people are wrong.
Nuff said
Yes, perfect form is a tip for novice lifters. If you follow it, you're weak.
This guy's right. Your form should be as close to perfect as possible but as long as you aren't doing anything dangerous or compromising (like rounding back during deadlifts) then you should strive to get stronger and add more weight rather than correct a tiny negligible error in form.
Workout intensity, resting periods and volume are more important than form.
"do this not this" content is fake and gay.
Its not there for your benefit, its there to profit from the wishy washy nature of fitness that means basically everything works, and the impostor syndrome of the novice lifter that means they'll defer to you in all matters
