By working out
80/20 rule, you can get 80% of the results that a nerd science based lifter with optimal training gets with dumbells only or even calisthenics only.
Also pewdiepie had the "skinny but lean" starter pack which is easily the best starting point.
Skinny fat you have to bulk cut or cut then bulk to look even slightly normal with your shirt off
Overweight/Obese, need to cut slowly in order to avoid looking skinny af and losing all your muscle which can take 1-2 years to lose say 50 pounds.
Meanwhile there's a limit to how skinny most people can get, pewdiepie started at 6'0 probably 150ish, gaining 20 lbs in a lean bulk slowly over the course of 6 months will get him to 170ish 6'0 still relatively lean which is a great physique compared to the average person.
