I've never seen a shitty looking gymnast. Can't say the same for bodybuilders & powerlifters.
i've never see anyone who isn't dyel use rings
cuz they are probably too fat
It's unlikely. Most gymnasts have to put in 30 hours a week. If you're mostly training for the sake of vanity and not performance in a sport just stick dumbells you'll get where you're wanting to go a lot sooner. Rings are nice to have though for stuff like ring rows, facepulls, various accessories and rehab stuff that's annoying to try to approximate with dbs.
I dunno, I love doing those instead of dips, have them at home. After few series your stabilizing muscles get tired, and you get this feeling of grinding your joints. Obviously its a skill issue, however I believe gymnasts must have joints fricked up beyond belief at 40+
Their careers as gymnasts are over by 24 and then they either get on with their life because gymnastics doesn't pay the bills or they go into coaching.

my point still stands
doing bodyweight exercises strengthens your joints and tendons, not the other way around brainlet, unless youre doing insane rep ranges your body will adjust and grow stronger. they dont put the same strain on the muscles as lifting heavy weights
>they dont put the same strain on the muscles as lifting heavy weights
Dont be moronic, calisthenics puts a lot more strain on your joints and connective tissue because the way you increase difficulty is by changing leverages, which puts more shearing forces on your joints. Yes it does develop your joints/tendons more than barbell training but it also has a higher risk of injury as a result
A light dumbbell / bands workout on off days can work wonders.
I have them at home. The gym gains carry over but it's way slower to just grind on them than doing basic barbell training.
Yes I find them to be a lot better for things like pullups, pushups and dips
Great and fun but not time efficient. It also filters lardasses.
You can get an insane upper body with rings alone. The only muscles that will really be lagging are side delts and maybe upper traps
I train on rings and I'm happy rnough with the results. Depends what you're going for.
What's your training look like? You have a physique that mogs lifting- only bros
Mostly
>pull ups and variations ( including weighted)
>ring dips, bw for reps or with weight
But also
>ring supported L sits
>ring push ups
>one armed rows
>handstand push ups
>pistol squats
Sometimes I mess about with levers but I don't find them that fun
You ever done weighted ring pushups?
Yeah but not often because they're awkward
Mirin
Looking good - some more thickness and you'll look great.
would
Amazing chest and core but you need to spam Y raises ASAP imo
Why?
Ditto here. This was rings and archer push-ups only. I've gotten weights since and put on some muscle weight but I wonder...
I don't think I've ever taken a pic that looks better than this one, taken a couple of years ago.
Short answer is yes but not nearly as quickly or efficiently as you can with weights
