Planet Fitness but unironically

So there is a Planet Fitness that opened up not too far from my house last month and I was thinking about joining since its slightly "cheaper"($10 a month is total bullshit) than other gyms and I want somewhere to start. Ive seen memes with lunk alarms and pizza or whatever, but I was hoping to go there in the dead of night when next to no one is around since theyre open 24 hours Mon-Thursday. Theyre about almost half the price of 24 Hour Fitness.
Im hoping to use this as a stepping stone before I decide to make more of a commitment, so should I start here or avoid at all costs?

Second this. I was at PF Friday night, and the place was packed. But it's cheap, and has everything you need to get started. I've never even heard the Lunk Alarm go off.

I've only gone at 5-6am. It wasn't bad. Honestly, as long as you don't drop weights like a mad man and ignore everyone else. Will be fine. Had a guy tell me I was doing the machine wrong. Showed me what I had to do and then he left me alone. So go ahead and go.

I don't get the PF hate. Most people here are not 2/3/4/5 350lb body builders. Tons of fatties too, and what have you.

I've been lifting serious for 2 years now, best shape of my life, and the planet does me right. $10, 24/7, 2 minutes from my house?

omg, smith machine!?!? who gives a shit. You put the weight on.. you do the exercise.

If you're 350lbs and on roids, maybe it's not the gym for you. But for 99% of people, it's good enough.

If you can keep up with jogging to the park and back, we’re doing push-ups in your house consistently for a month, then get a membership

If not, don’t buy it, you don’t deserve it
